I think probably having a relationship conversation, which is not like the relationship conversation, is a good thing to do prior to the date or on the first date.

So just seeing what the other person is there for, and that doesn't necessarily have to be with each other.

you might both be looking for a relationship in the long run, but it's about sussing each other out, essentially.

I like to think of the first date kind of like a first interview.

You really get to know what that person is like and you see how they treat other people.

You see how you feel with them, if there's any kind of vibe there, whether it be good or bad.

But it can also just

let you know, you know, does this person have the qualities that I'm looking for in the long run, if I'm in it for the long run?

And then you can make a decision, you know, do I want to just wait and see how they go in their second interview?

Or am I happy to go forward with this first interview knowing what information I have now?

What I'm saying is, as well, there's absolutely no shame in wanting to have sex on the first date.

But I really like seeing what your gut is telling you between the first and second date.
