And you know, some other data came out from Vercel, uh, which, you know, Malty Ubel is now CTO of Vercell, and they they had done a study, V Vercell with a SEO company as well, had had collaborated on a study that said that a hundred percent
of pages requested by Googlebot Mobile were fully rendered, like all of the JavaScript, including complex JavaScript, was rendered.
And that seemed crazy.
Unless Google is using some unknown resource for rendering the JavaScript.
And so my thought was kind of immediately, okay, they're just using Chrome renderings.
Like they're using renderings from your computer and my computer and your phone and my phone.
Because why would they spend their own energy and electricity and compute power when it's already been done for free?
Yeah, and so so that's the theory.
And then and then that explains a lot.
There's a lot of downhill implications to that, but it kind of explains why Chrome takes up so much memory and heats up your computer so fast.
Um, because the the theory is there's a bunch of numbered c uh files in your Chrome app on your computer.
They're not named like normal file folders would be, they're numbered because Google doesn't want you to know what they are.
Yeah.
But it turns out like TensorFlow Light is in there and a bunch of other things, language models and stuff like that.
So the thought is maybe like Google's not sending the entirety of the rendered page, but maybe they are pre-processing things for indexing on your local computer and then sending it back to the index pre-processed.
And they're doing that along with other things like processing your user engagement on whatever websites you visit.
And they put that, they tell us openly they do that for Core Web Vitals.
There are core web vitals that they cannot report on unless users have visited and clicked around.
Yeah, absolutely.
It would cost them a lot of money and you're making them money in more than more than you know what you think because what's happening is they're not just taking the rendering from you, but they're also taking your particular user uh data and your cohort and journey data.
