So the cohort stuff they they openly um have these cohorts that they set up in their ad managers where you can target an ad to a specific
So it's you know, these this is for the soccer moms that love Lululemon, and this is for the the golfing dudes that drink a lot of beer or drink craft beer, whatever.
And so they're trying to group people into cohorts because they know those they know some products resonate well with certain cohorts, and so they can use that cohort data and figure out who exactly you are to know.
if an ad will fit with your cohort and if they should serve it to you or if the ad would do better if they served it to someone else.
Right.
And so all of the AI that's happening in the paid side of the house, which is a lot, is driven on this modeling that they've got from all of our Chrome users.
And and that could be good or bad.
Like moral is well, I'll probably weigh in, but I'd like I would like to believe it's not for me to decide.
But at some level there are moral implications for sure, because they're using our data that we give away to use their free product to target
Ads to us better, which is great because it means maybe I'm not getting irrelevant ads and maybe I like that, but it also just makes them more profitable.
And the the people who are buying ads like that because the ads are better targeted, they convert better, Google looks good.
But it's also allowing Google to do the monopolistic things, um, like undercut every other advertiser because somehow magically Google's ad.
are more effective than anyone else's.
But we have to know we have to look at it op with open eyes and say it's not magic.
They just have more data and you know, more models that are that are fueling and informing the advertising.
And so there used to be, this is an important point to think about in terms of morals.
There used to be kind of a Chinese wall.
or a separation between um paid and organic and Google would say a hundred percent nothing that happens in paid influences organic um and nothing that happens in organic influences paid.
Um that does not seem to be the case anymore.
But we've all all of us old timers that have been in the the industry long enough just believe this because they haven't modified that statement, right?
