And he's worried about losing his apartment with his wife and his new baby.
And he's still out there doing what we asked him to do.
And long story short, three years later, he bought a $1.2 million property and I had promoted him to manager.
And so when I think about what really, what do I love about this?
It's the empowerment of the people around you.
And then I think you can love it, right?
And I don't think it's bullshit if you're actually honest and that's why you're doing it.
I mean, you have to put a lot of time into it.
And once again, you have to be willing to fail.
We've tried a number of products somewhat adjacent to what we do.
A couple of them.
One of them, it was by far our highest gross profit margin that we had ever achieved.
And it was going really well.
But then the manufacturer just could never keep up.
And they ended up being a horrible partner.
And
If they could have ever delivered on their promises, we would have crushed it.
So in that aspect, we failed because of that situation.
Then we've tried a couple of other products along the way.
I think the big thing is you have to go in intentionally.
