It's not having a parent understand that they were upset by that.
After I, you know, spiral and wake myself up at 2 a.m.
telling myself I'm a horrible parent after that's happened.
Those ones.
Yeah.
I think there's a couple of things I do.
I always find it helpful to talk to like a handful of people in my life who I know I can just kind of vomit it to and they'll just be a container.
Like I just have to always get it out.
I find that to always be helpful for me.
In general, how we feel about something has to do with a feeling and how alone we feel in it.
And we can't change a feeling.
We can't kind of change the hard, but we can change the alone.
And so I always try to like remove the aloneness as step one.
Step two, I think I do try to ask myself, okay, what is the thing that's out of alignment?
Oh, I worked later than I wanted to.
I missed too many bedtimes.
I should say that I...
I do think looking ahead in your calendar and thinking about the overall life you want rather than the specific day you want is really helpful.
So I do generally have a rule.
I generally go out with my husband, often friends on a Saturday night, and I will at most go out one weeknight.
