To feel things.
It's how we experience things, it's how we engage with the world around us.
We need to feel.
Yeah, well that's that's a huge question.
Why does it get bad rap?
I think I like to break it down into two different spaces.
So I've got the social space, like the broader context.
And I think in that sense, there's such a huge focus today on productivity and logic.
We often think that you have to, you know, toughen up, move on, go forward.
I mean, the way we run our countries is all about gross domestic productivity as opposed to in Bhutan, for example, they look at gross national happiness as the way to measure their country's worth.
But I think there's other things like we don't focus anywhere near as much on pleasant emotions as we do unpleasant emotions.
Like you look at T V shows and cinema and a lot of the time we're focusing on violence and things like that.
when we're not focusing as much on love and, you know, sex and the things that the hook up focuses on.
So there's that.
I think there's also another space, the personal space.
You know, we all experience emotions at times that are overwhelming.
And when we do
We don't understand what they're doing for us.
They seem to get in the way.
And because I think we don't really understand what emotions are or we're not really taught in school, we often feel like they're making situations worse.
