I think it's really important.
I think one of the things you're talking about a little bit is how we turn the volume up and down on our emotions.
You know, we need to be able to engage with them so that when we do open up to people, we can open up in a way that's a little bit palatable.
So being able to breathe, for example, I know it's so simple, but pause, breathe.
And turn the volume down sometimes a little bit before we open up so that it feels a lot more comfortable not only for them but for us.

I think it can be so tough when you've been burned before and you've felt like you've opened up to people and they haven't really heard.
But not everyone's like that.
I mean, people are learning how to listen to emotion.
Um, you know, there's this great little analogy that I like to give so many people
Um when they express emotion, it's kind of like if you can imagine a toddler in a supermarket, right?
And you're going through the supermarket and the toddler wants a lolly and the parents like, nah, you're not having the lolly.
And what does the toddler do?
It it starts to cry maybe a little bit.
And the parents like, nah, shut up, you stupid toddler, you're not getting the lolly.
And the toddler cries more, of course.
