Every orthopedic surgeon in my generation that I know, if we got pregnant, we miscarried.
And maybe that was lifestyle.
And maybe that was not eating for 40 hours.
Maybe it's all the radiation that we undertake.
I think it's better now for the younger generation.
And we, as theβI'm not that old, but I am older than the current residentsβwe encourage all of them.
If you are not partnered and wanting to have a child now, then please consider freezing your eggs if that's a goal.
Because we can't predict our futures and our residencies extend into our 40s.
