They think it's actually to do with other things that the reason the relationship fails is.
But it's really easy in our society to go, oh, well, maybe I just didn't feel it early on and maybe it was just the wrong person.
was
that's a good point actually jess uh in my experience sometimes you get nre for people that are not so great for you and that can particularly happen if you don't have wonderful relationships with your mum and dad in your family
Your attachment to your early caregivers predicts who you're going to get the hots for down the track and particularly people with a history of bad relationship choices in their past, I would definitely say be very wary of that NRE feeling.
Yeah, it's a really interesting thing.
So it happened like just all of a sudden overnight, you just lost it.
Interesting.
You didn't have any stress or anything change in your lifestyle at that time?
I don't think so.
I'm
And like in past relationships, did that frequency or that low desire happen as well or were you at a different level of
Okay.
Well, regardless of whether it, you know, is your normal set point or whether something's gone on, what I find is lots of people start to get a little preoccupied with it and they're like, oh my God, where is it?
why don't i feel it this is really bad and the more anxious you get about it the worse it gets like anything sexual of course the more anxious you get the the less fun you have so what i would think about doing is looking for other reasons to have sex rather than desire
So as I said before, at least 30% of women will have this sort of situation where they don't actually feel like they want sex until they're starting to have sex and then they're like, oh, this would be good.
And they get into sex within consent, so they're very willing to have sex, but they're doing it, you know, maybe because it makes them feel desirable or maybe because it's an act of love for their partner or maybe it's just to get to sleep really well afterwards or...
you know, that sort of thing.
So if you can find other reasons to have sex with your partner, you might actually find that this sort of roadblock that's coming up for you gets worked through.
As long as the sex is good, which you said it was, you might actually find that once you start sort of going into it again, that you lose that resistance to it.
