And I think that... And it makes sense.
You're asking for people's money.
Like, it makes sense.
There is this exchange of goods.
But at the same time, there has to be space...
for that natural business process of kind of like okay well just like with everyone doing anything you don't get it completely right the first time you do your absolute best and you make every single decision you possibly could to be like this is watertight I have it all the time where I'm literally like oh
that was the last thing I was expecting.
It was going to be a problem, but like, hello, like sure, like let's sort this now.
But it is, yeah, I think it's a rough transition.
The content creator where essentially everything's received by the audience for free and the exchange is just your time for entertainment essentially.
And then you get the success of the brand deals and all of those types of things to the other side of essentially,
people parting with their money for products services like whatever it might be like it's a rough transition because there's a different type of relationship that people have with those things and if you think about like all the online shopping you do for example like it's so fucking annoying when it goes wrong and as soon as that's attached to a person it's much easier to be like fuck say yeah jill like why did you fucking do that
Yeah I think there's this perception that maybe like all influencers should start businesses and I actually think that you've done it really well in the way that it's a business that makes sense for you and you're like we want to start this we want to do this many different reasons so we're doing that I don't think it's like a natural career trajectory thing for everyone within the space for exactly that reason.
But I think that's a learning curve as well, because like, had you had that before, then maybe you would have gone back and been like, okay, well, these are the 10 products we're launching in the first year.
These are our three favorites.
So we want to get them out in the first drop.
But actually, maybe there's not enough price difference.
So we'll just do this one instead or whatever.
But that type of thing, you literally can only learn from doing it.
Like, I've been there so many times where I've been like, oh, I could have predicted that, even if maybe I couldn't.
