I think the root wants or needs are a combination of

Belonging, dignity and safety.

I feel like a three deep ones.

I actually love working with some of the very successful folks because there's one guy that I'm working with right now where he's created this epic fucking life for himself, but really struggling to enjoy it.

And I think that's true of a lot of folks.

Like they actually hit the metrics, they hit the goalposts that they were shooting for.

And they're like, whoa.

But then in some ways it's even more devastating because they don't feel inside the way they thought they'd feel.

And so there's this sense of this like abyss opens up and they're like, well, if that didn't do it, if hitting those numbers didn't do it,

what the hell do I do?

And that abyss is both a terrifying place, it's also a very generative place because their mental models and their belief structures and the maps of the world break.

And that's when there's an opportunity to start running some new experiments.

And there's enough curiosity to...

do stuff like breathwork or a groundbreakers retreat or things that they'd usually write off as being like, woo, I don't have time for that.

But often it is some degree of honestly suffering that brings people into different flavors of nervous system exploration and inner work.

And you're like- Their identity is just- Why?

Evaporated.

Yeah, I mean, that's the ideal outcome.

And it is a journey.

And these feelings are also spectrums.
