And that's, to me, that's all relationships.
And in some cases, I may alter you because of what I said, and you may think of something totally different.
And in other cases, we may agree to disagree.
And then we have to decide, can we still, you know...
be in this friendship or be in this relationship.
Like closeness is a spectrum.
It's not either we're friends or we're not friends, right?
A friend of mine has a mentor who always tells her, you can be in relationship with anyone at the right distance.
And it's your job to figure out what the distance is for that person.
So it's not saying everyone's your best friend or everyone's your enemy, right?
It's also, this is again, fortunately or unfortunately, these are skills that will help us in modern life.

How do we get there?
Start by throwing a gathering you want to attend.
Host something that literally makes you giggle, makes you be like, yeah, I want to do that.
And so when you get invited to like Anne's party where her like rug that she bought in Istanbul on her solo vacation post-divorce finally arrived and she wants to like roll it out and is literally like two feet by four feet.
It's like a delightful invitation.
