But we've seen them, like, common move is wrapping their arms around people's necks and throwing them to the ground from the back. Sometimes they're just like, back up. Yeah, they're relatively forceful, even if they're not physically forceful. But there's also been times where they couldn't care less about if we're there and aren't talking to us or just ignoring us. Look, when J.D. Vance said that government officials, that federal law enforcement have absolute immunity, a whole bunch of lawyers tipped him and said, oh, no, he misspoke. No, no, no. J.D. Vance was telling us the practical reality, which is that because they control the Department of Justice and because Pam Bondi will never open up a criminal investigation of any shooting, or any action by anyone in favor with Donald Trump and his administration. And in fact, they pardoned the January 6th folks. They pardoned Donald Trump's friends.
There is de facto absolute immunity for at least as long as Donald Trump is in office at the federal level. Now, there are things at the state level that Keith Ellison no doubt is exploring, that the city of Minneapolis is no doubt exploring, and good for them. Good for what they're doing. But we need to understand we are on our own. The federal government is not going to protect us. The federal government is not going to investigate wrongdoing against any protester, any peaceful advocate for democracy. You know, that is why I say we're on our own.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller wrote that administration officials are now evaluating why the CPB team in Minneapolis, quote, may not have been following protocol set for extra personnel sent to Minnesota for force protection.
