Chapter 1: What should I know before listening to this episode?
Hello, this is Joe. If you haven't watched the second episode of Celebrity Traitors, don't listen to this yet until you've watched it. Also, we were chatting to Mark Bonner, who's also in the Traitors, about something else. But then we started talking about the Traitors in episode two. So we're using this as our episode two debrief episode. So I hope that makes sense. Cheers.
Well, it feels weird talking about the Traitors now, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Especially you two last night. Just coming out your... Coming out of our shells.
Chapter 2: How do Joe and Mark feel about the latest episode of Celebrity Traitors?
Coming out of your shells. I've got to say, like... You're very funny in it, Joe. I'm kind of more... I'm not an idiot. Lucy said, Lucy said, my wife said, last night she said, you're looking really shifty. And I said, but I'm trying to spot who's... I mean, yeah. Yeah. You better not give too much away. But, yeah, I was trying to spot... I thought you two had a little moment yesterday.
Me and Joe? Yeah, you and Joe. I thought, yeah, definitely. Round the table.
Oh, yeah, well, I've got to say, Mark, there's the look to make a gift show.
Oh, I know. Yeah. Well, quite right. I think I said to my wife, oh, I don't like this.
Because it was like, when it happened last night, I was like... that is classic Traitors, where she's now gone, okay, back at you.
Yeah.

Chapter 3: What insights does Mark provide about the dynamics within the game?
And I was like, ooh. It really works, doesn't it? But it was so random, because everyone was throwing out, like, I said, like, Tom Daley, and he just went, right. And that was it. And then sort of moved on. Someone else accused someone else of moving on. You, your turn went, I've got, because you're sort of going, you've got to say what you think. It's the game.
Yeah.
I just think something about you, Tamika. Craps and knuckles.
Why was she over there watching all of us?
It was amazing. I was going, and I watched it again, I go, well, you just said you're watching. Because she went, well, I think it's a bit shifty, it's the day over there. And I went, well, you just said. And you were like, I've just said, haven't I? What? And then you're like, oh, God, I'm in the firing line.
I had forgotten how many people in that round table pointed the finger at Kate.

Chapter 4: How do contestants manage accusations and trust issues in Celebrity Traitors?
Couldn't remember that as well. Could not remember that as well.
I'd totally forgotten that.
No, I think...
We were all grasping at straws, weren't we? Like Stephen said at the beginning, there's no way to tell if somebody's lying to you. No, I know. Can you imagine a scenario where people are pointing their finger at you and you don't get defensive? Because it feels like everyone gets their back up.
Well, it's funny when you're seeing it, because me and Mark can't say anything, but you notice how people deal with it differently.
Yeah.
Like, they definitely... And to the point where you go, looking back, you go, very well played.
Yeah.
Because that could have escalated.

Chapter 5: What strategies are discussed for navigating the game of Celebrity Traitors?
In that moment, it was just this thing erupted, and you're like, I just didn't see it coming.
Yeah.
I was like, wow.
I know. But like you say, I had to say it because I had those.
There's no game, is there? It's really interesting because I realise it's so about the stories that need to be told. And the stories that need to be told are Alan, Katz and Jonathan's story. And you don't know you're part of their story.
yeah or so you've got a story going on over there like i don't know me and you because we hung out quite a lot so we've got our little story going on over there we're kind of plotting whatever irrelevant you don't know it's irrelevant but it's irrelevant yeah but then you kind of cross paths with because you can say it's now but like jonathan yeah you're part of the story yeah then you go off and you have like you know lunch with tamika and you
and you know not story yeah you know what i mean it's so weird because you go there's there's five or six stories going off over there i just remember watching like um jonathan and um i know sorry uh uh last night tom and charlotte chatting yeah and they're chatting and then nico comes over and you go oh we got to tell the story because we don't know if it's kate or nico going out so that's really fun and i was like
God, it's the puzzle to work out the story. Because there's millions of stories going on. And you go, right, we've got to follow that one. We've got to follow that one.
It must be so weird for you watching... I was thinking last night, watching that episode edited together. It's like a different show. Not having seen their conversations. It is like a different... It is totally... It's like watching it for the first time. I mean, it's also like a weird fever dream that we were ever there in the first place.

Chapter 6: Why is storytelling important in the context of the show?
I'm at the bottom of the garden now. That's why, do you not think I'd be allowed that in the house? No, it's better like that, yeah.
Well, we're talking about maybe me having a... Imagine you're listening going, weren't you talking about the traitors a minute ago? Now I'm talking about your shed, sorry. That must be very frustrating. But I'm thinking of doing this in our garden, getting one of them and podding from it.
It's really good. It's brilliant. I mean, it was here when we moved in, when we bought the house, you know, but it's really, really... It's just... And it's so quiet as well, you know.
it's so um because we live on a fairly busy road but but um it's just really nice to kind of escape and i've got my i've got my hi-fi down here and all my records and everything lovely have you really not been out marks um i've i've done school pickup and everything but you know that's just quick headphones in the the odd person going that i haven't ever spoken to going And with what?
They go, we're loving the cheaters, it's great. That's about it.
I realised it was unwieldy because I was like, people were like before going, go on, tell us. You know, a lot of that. We had a lot of that. Go on, tell us he won it and all that sort of stuff.
A lot of people going, did you win?
Yeah, yeah.

Chapter 7: How do Joe and Mark reflect on their experiences during the filming?
There's loads of that. Expecting they'd trip me up.
Yeah. But yeah, it's a bit, I don't know, I honestly thought And I'm completely wrong. I was like, will the Jeopardy be the same with us? Because the Jeopardy in the real one is like they can win life changing money and they get really kind of protective of their role in it. I don't think it matters. No, I realise it doesn't, because you're playing a game.
Where the money goes doesn't matter. It's how people do what they do and how you feel about it. It's the enthralling thing. Even when we watched that first episode and pushing the Trojan horse, when we... Oh, no, you weren't at the screening. When we saw that for the first time, I was really involved, even though I knew what happened. Yeah, yeah. I was really going, come on!
Well, they cut me running after Tom. Oh, no, they didn't. You saw how he cut the bat. Not enough of it. I thought that's a lot of... Some of us run half of that.
Not as far as Tom.
Not as far as Tom. But I still did some running.
Yeah, there's quite a few things where they cut a lot of me shouting, come on, come on, because that's all I was doing. That last bit, that was so hard, that pushing that fucking horse.
They cut a bit which I was really thankful for, because I... A bit I genuinely have been thinking about going, oh, God. You know in the grave when you dig it up and you get the shields? I went, oh, I've got a shield.

Chapter 8: What are the plans for future discussions about Celebrity Traitors?
And Claudia was not listening. I went, oh, I've got a shield. I've got a shield. Oh, God. I want to be safe from that. And they just used the first one. And they were like, we don't need him saying it four times in a row. Please, look. I was like, oh, God. Literally, when they played me down at once, I went, oh.
How was it when Paloma Faith got knocked out? Do you actually care? Yeah, loads. You do? I thought you'd only been with her for a day. No, the Jeopardy's really brilliant. Really?
Yeah. Claudia is so good.
Yeah, she really is. She really does it. She's very professional. There's no kind of...
there's very very little chitty chat yeah yeah or kind of like hiya how you doing you all right that she maintains that kind of like and that really helps definitely but also she kind of knows it's weird because she knows exactly the right amount of tension for us like because you know if you kind of go it goes a bit long you start going yeah kind of for ages now it's just that bit where you know it's exactly the right amount of
So we're sort of stressed when we're kind of waiting and stuff. And then, yeah, because it was the first murder, it did feel quite...
real it was like well because i also because i had the shield that i let myself down over i was a bit they say fair yeah and then then it was like oh god tomorrow that's me potentially yeah that it's it's hard it's really difficult to because you have no phone because you have no contact with the outside world um because of the and and contact with each other outside of the game
you don't you could because you get you know you get driven separately there yeah it's really it's all like that isn't it don't get to share anything with anybody so you've just got the game in your head you're not at the castle and then you've got to talk to people who you don't know if they're traitors or not when you're in the castle so it's a it's a really intense and that round table unbelievable
But what, I don't know, I feel like, because it's really interesting because I've liked talking to you about it. I really like knowing what your comparative thoughts on the show were as well, because I am literally don't feel like I'm in it. You know, like when you're on something, it's the first job I've ever done. What job? It was fun.
