I've been pretty vocal from day one that there's been differences spoken out on my
podcast. It was cool to have both the lucky dogs up there though, right? And I thought we might see if the podcast is still going next week actually after this one. Okay, everyone, we are back for episode 51 of the Lucky Dogs podcast. And this is a big one. It's about the Race of Champions, which is an absolutely awesome event. We just saw that they announced one of the Aussies in Chas, which is very cool that Chas is headed back. And yeah, it's a massive event. It's actually going to be held at the Henry Stadium on the 9th to 10th of January, 2027 in New Zealand, which isn't too far for us Aussies at least.
Hey, big news too, Will. So when we did this last time, do you remember what we said to Chaz? I don't. We told him that why did he get invited? He wasn't a champion and he went and won the championship.
That is true, that is true. So, yep, he's coming back a champion, so deserves the invite there, that's for sure. But it's genuinely a global field, this one, and it was the year we did it. They've got F1 stars, WRC, supercars guys, people like Travis Pastrana. I did see they've actually announced... Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Vettel, Chas and Hayden Padden already, which is already an amazing lineup. I know the year we did it, there was some really cool people and I'm sure this year coming, there'll be some massive guests as well. Yeah,
but the biggest announcement to come is the dogs are back.

We got the call because we come second in the Nations Cup. So the dogs will be representing Australia, which is going to be pretty cool. And I think we have to go one better this time and probably lock in a bit harder.
I reckon. So this is exciting. This is, uh, we, we weren't sure if we'd get the call back, you know, we weren't the champions last year, Chas was, and we were hoping that it happened. And, uh, thank God, Frederick, I saw his number pop up in my phone. I thought the dogs are back. He's calling for us to come. So, uh, got the call from him and, uh, Straight away, me and Brodie got onto the phone together and are really excited to head back over there to New Zealand, represent Australia with Chas, and try and go one better and win this thing. So I'm super excited for that. I just think it was... The event over there was so... The event in Australia was so cool, but I really hope... Well, I think the New Zealand fans will get behind it massively.
We know they love their motorsport over there. It's a short trip for Aussies to get over, and I think it's an event that if... you are ever thinking of going to an event out there. If you thought, I want to go, I've done supercars, I've done the F1 event in Australia or anything like that, I don't think anything can beat the atmosphere of racing inside a stadium. I'd never experienced it before till we raced in Sydney that year. And unfortunately, the stadium wasn't packed out. But I think if we can see it packed out in New Zealand, it'll be something like we sort of haven't experienced before.
Yeah, 100%. I think you nailed on a lot of things there. But we actually did Race to Champions start of last year, which was before we had the podcast. So I feel like... race of champions last year was one of the i guess one of the moments of how the podcast actually sort of come about actually would you probably agree
yeah i'd agree we had an awesome time down there and it had sort of been in discussion a little bit and we just hadn't put it into motion at any time so had uh you had an awesome time down there and then that's probably around the time that it started to uh come to fruition i think you call it but uh yeah it was uh I don't know. To be honest, that was probably one of my, still my highlights of my career, one of the best racing weekends of my career so far. And there's a few reasons to that. It's serious, but it's also fun. You know, when we go racing in supercars now, it is fun, but you're there to do a job. And if you don't win, generally, you don't enjoy it that much.
