All right, you're thinking about working out. You want to get in shape. You just don't know what the right workout is for you. What should it be? What should it look like? How often? We're going to talk about that right now, how we can help you pick the right workout for your goals. Where are you going with this? Let's go. Where are you going with this? Well, it's a question people often ask. What's the right way to work out?
Adam Schafer 2:32
I know. It's such a vague question. I'm trying to figure out where you're going with it.
Phil Vella 2:35
Well, the question is, Adam, somebody comes up to you and says… How do I know what the, like, how do I pick the right?
Adam Schafer 2:43
I know what you propose that right now. And Justin, I have nothing to say. Cause we know the very first thing we're saying back to you is, well, that depends. What is it? What are your goals? What do you do currently right now? How long you've been working out for?
Phil Vella 2:55
Exactly. Here's the first thing. And I love your guys's opinion on this. I'm sure you guys will agree, but I think the first thing people need to consider is, when picking a workout is, do you enjoy it? Now, that sounds stupid to someone because someone's like, I just want to get these results. I just want to burn body fat. I just want to whatever. But the truth is, the thing you enjoy doing, again, so long as it's appropriate, right?
Adam Schafer 3:19
Yeah, I was just going to say that there's a bit of, you got to be careful when you say that because I feel like there's a lot of people who find enjoyment in suffering and punishing themselves. Find enjoyment playing a sport, even though that doesn't align with their goal. So I don't like to lead off with this. I do think that it's important to note that if this person is going to be consistent long term, that you have to learn to love or enjoy the thing that you're doing. But leading off with this in this conversation to me sets a lot of people up for failure because a lot of people have a terrible relationship.
