Do you have an area of your body that you'd like to develop faster than the others? Do you have a lagging body part? Here's what we're going to do. We're going to talk about the five rules for building a specific body part. If you want to bring up a lagging body part, you better listen up. Let's get to it. Yes. What do you think? What percentage of people have a body part that they want to develop more than the other? 100? Yeah. I know.
I was like, do I know something that doesn't?
Super common. And it's actually, I do want to say this. It takes a while. So we got to say that first. Sometimes I'll see people focus on a body part and be like, you know, I've only been doing it for two months. I don't see a big difference. In my experience- First off, building muscle takes a while anyway. But bringing up a lagging body part, which means you want it to come up a little faster than the rest of the body, typically you want to give yourself about a year, I would say. How do you feel about that, Adam?
I think at least that because something that's not in your five rules here that I think should be included in the conversation at least. I love that Ben Pakulski talks a lot about this. And a lot of times, the lagging body part is related to a poor connection. Sure. So that's outside the rules that you're talking about, which I think these are more related to programming in that way. And assuming that you have a good connection to it, these are the rules. But I think sometimes people might be following some of these rules but have a poor connection to it. You see this often in glutes, calves. Um, chest sometimes, uh, are probably the most common back delts. There's a lot, there's a lot of muscles that people, uh, tend to have a hard time connecting to, and they may be doing a lot of these rules that you're about to go over, uh, but then still not seeing results.
So I'd like to add that to the conversation is that, um, Another reason why sometimes I want to give somebody a long runway to expect return on this, and so a year is.
