But I want to start in goal because that is the position some people, believe it or not, Colin, over the years have accused me of being a know-it-all. You believe that? Some people have accused me at times of being a know-it-all. I can't believe that that would happen. Yes, but the position I know the least about is goaltending. To me, I'm old school. Stop the puck. Well, you got a guy right now. And he's blank and stomping the puck. That's all there is to it. I mean, tell us about Connor. What makes him... He's got off-the-chart numbers this year in the American Hockey League and in the ECHL.

He's feeling it. He really is. I would say... Also, the timing is our team. In the American League, you're around 20, 25 games. My six years, seven years experience now, five years as a head coach that year. It takes about that time for guys to start understanding how to play without the puck and also who you are. Are you a rushed team? Are you a grinded-out team? So it was around that time when he came in that our guys were more connected defensively. We could score, and that's great. Sometimes we couldn't score ourselves or outscore our mistakes, so to speak. One, we're playing better without the puck. Two, he's seen it. He's competing, I think. The reality is he was in the seven hole to start the year, right?
That's sometimes right, and that's honest. I've had the conversation with the young man. When your back's up against the wall, you, me, anybody, you've got a choice to fold or fight.
