I've always had a theory that in Ebington, the least appreciated player are the puck moving defensemen that get the puck up the ice. As a result, you spend less time in your zone, but they're not necessarily the most physical guy. Uh the you take a look at the advanced analytics on Bouchard's game, and he's amongst the best defensemen in the National Hockey League. He's plus nineteen this season. He uh had a poor first beard against Toronto, but typical of Bouchard responded in that game and was very good in the second second and third period.
He's yet to score power play goal this year. And yet Evan Bouchard still has nine goals, forty points, plus nineteen. He's hovering around sixty percent in all of the advanced metrics Corsi, Fenwick expected goals for.
