And yesterday, Edmonton Oilers general manager Stan Bowman was on Oilers Now to discuss about several management structure changes, including the promotion of Kurt Hill from the GM of the Edmonton Oil Kings to the assistant GM of the Edmonton Oilers in player procurement. And here is Stan Bowman.
Kurt in particular, yes, I had hired Kurt actually to be a scout when I was in Chicago and Kurt had been doing a lot of good work and he was young and up and coming so he worked with us only one year and then he got the call to come be the general manager of the Loyola Kings and we didn't want to hold him back. We thought that was a great progression for him and in the intervening years he's done an excellent job and I've had a chance to work with him over the last couple of years and start talking about what roles he could help us with and where his strengths were. And this seemed like a natural fit. And his primary responsibility in that pillar of our organization would be the player procurement.
So essentially any player that's going to come into our organization, whether it's to the draft, to the trades, free agency, or, you know, undrafted free agents, that's all going to be in that group.

And we've got some great leaders there already. Rick Tracy and Warren Reichel. And now we've got Kurt as well. So I think that's an area that we want to continue to be innovative about and I think it's a great opportunity for Curt.
