I always got the impression that group wasn't particularly sold on Stuart Skinner, so I was perplexed as to why they passed on a goaltender in the first round of that draft year.

So, of course, none of those guys are currently working for the organization anymore, but I think there was a missed opportunity in that draft. As for COSA now, if I was in a COSA camp, I'm sort of looking and... They got a lot of goaltenders, young goaltenders that are pushing their way up, right? So Trey Augustine out of Michigan State, a second rounder. Postava, one of the top European goaltenders. Kosa, they're all in the mix. They even got a guy named Guy Lander. That's a pretty good goalie as well. So good text. He would make sense for me. I'll be honest with you. Kosa would make sense for me as a potential trade target.

Number one would be Cassidy, and number two I think would be Laviolette. So that's who I would see as being the top two candidates. The general consensus is Cassidy's the best coach out there. He's got to become available. Like Vegas has got to give him permission to talk to teams. And Kelly McCrimmon is used to doing things his way. and right now he's looking pretty good. He's up 1-0 in the conference final against Colorado when Vegas is the underdog. And, oh, by the way, he stepped up and signed Carter Hart, and he's looking like a genius for doing so.
