Hello Kurt, how you doing? Doing well, Bob. How are you? Good. Uh this is a unique time because you guys have already got a couple games in and maybe you can educate our listeners here uh 'cause you've got several players that are going off that are that are drafted that are going off to NHL rookie tournaments and rookie camps. Uh and what does that mean for the roster that you saw in the two uh uh exhibition games you played this weekend?

Yeah, well both teams, you know, I think it's uh every every team does it different, but us and Prince George decided to arrest all of our players that were going to NHL camps and uh you know, give the young guys an opportunity to play. So certainly it was You know, a game full of a lot of guys that are signed, a younger player, seventeen and under, and then obviously some of your vets, but uh yeah, a good opportunity to just give those guys a little bit more rest before they head to their NHL camps and you know, just ensure that they're heading to those camps healthy at the end of the day.

So who do you have that are heading off to uh NHL camps at this time?

Yeah, as drafted guys, we got Jekyll, uh Adam Jekko, Miroslav Halenka, Grayson Sachen and Parker Alkos and then uh guys that received uh invitations to camps, Colby Hay, um Peterson that's obviously going to the uh Euler camp and Marshall Finney.

Uh goaltender Colby Hay uh is expected to be your number one goalie this year. He's a six foot five guy. Where is he uh where's he going?

going to LA. All right. Um and then uh sorry, uh Peterson's obviously uh gonna be in the uh you know, he's a he's a guy that uh we're gonna be keeping an eye on uh what can you tell us about Reese Peterson, who's he's a six foot four right shot defense that played fifty games for you last year.

Yeah, big real big kid, like very fit. Um, you know, he's more of a stay at home D man. He's got a long reach, defends extremely well, can play a little bit mean in front of the net, moves pucks well.

Which Oil Kings players are heading to NHL rookie camps and how does that affect the roster?

Kirt Hill 3:16

You know, just unfortunately for him last year I think it just um he had an injury in the early in the year and uh kinda held him back and um took him a little bit of time, a big guy like that, to get up and running again. But uh, you know, he's in incredible shape right now. I think he's gonna have a real good camp.

And this is a guy that you're probably expecting to play, is it fair to say twenty minutes a game?

Kirt Hill 3:34

Yeah, they're gonna be doing it by committee. I mean, he's kinda part of that you know, those the five guys we have there that are returning with him and well in his in his age group it's him, um, Mackenzie and Elkos and then obviously we brought in Josh Morey, who was a twenty year old, and then Fiddler's a year younger than those guys.
