But first, Manchester City were beaten 3-0 by Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last night, thanks to Federico Valverde's first ever career hat-trick. The Uruguayan scored all three goals in the first half. It could have been worse for City. Vinicius Junior missed a second-half penalty. Madrid were without the likes of Rodrigo, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, but Pep Guardiola's side couldn't capitalise. The Catalan says that his side face an uphill battle to turn it around.
