Hamir Halgramson gives the lowdown on new call-up, Leam Kitchen for the Ireland squad for the Nations League. And Keith Andrews Brentford side hosts Chelsea in the Premier League tonight. But first, Shamrock Rovers go in search of a first league win since the start of August when they host Graham Cochland's Waterford at Talla Stadium. Rovers are leveling points at St. Pat's at the top, but trail on goal difference, however they have played a game less. Speaking to Shamrock Rovers, In House Media, manager Stephen Bradley says they're in the business end of the season now.
Yeah, of course. It's uh six games left, uh six good games, uh four at home. And like you said, it's uh back end of the season, the business end. This is what you look for to
Waterford are unbeaten in their last thirteen matches, but are still just above the relegation playoff spot and goal difference. Rovers' form may have dipped in recent weeks, but Waterford boss Graham Cochrane says the champions are still at the benchmark.
You're always gonna have that little dip, aren't you? You always and and no team will go uh from one end of the season to the other unless you're the untouchables. So hats off to Stephen Bradley and the job he's done as staff players, the football club, the support they get as well. So look, they're the benchmark. Um if you wanna be the best.
you have to beat the best. You have to first and foremost compete with them and then you have to beat them. So if um if we have any any um ideas of wanting to achieve and want to be successful individually or collectively, we've got to go up against the best teams in the in the country. And uh Sherma Groves are certainly one of those and they've raised risen the bar. What they've done for the League of Ireland, what the manager has done It's been uh it's been brilliant, absolutely brilliant, and uh I I I I look upon the job he's done with el with a lot of envy.
