He loves to salute the troops at his rallies. He shakes hands with service members, and then he claims that, oh, he's the greatest champion of the U.S. military. But when the cameras are off, the truth is something very, very different. We all know this. He just uses our military as props. He lies to them. He disrespects their service. And now he's betraying them in ways that are hurting our veterans and their families across the entire country. It's infuriating. This man who has never sacrificed a damn thing in his life for this country.
He has the unmitigated gall to stand up at the joint session of Congress this week and pretend that he cares about our veterans. Meanwhile, what's he doing? He's standing by while his buddy Elon Musk slashes thousands upon thousands of jobs that veterans rely on. Jobs that keep their families fed. Jobs that ensure that they get the health care and the benefits that they've earned. So I would like him to explain, how in the hell is that taking care of our veterans? Hmm? This isn't just some policy disagreement. This is a full-on betrayal. See, this is what people don't realize. 30% of our federal workforce, it's made up of veterans. Thousands of them work at the VA. They're the ones processing disability claims.
They're the ones providing medical care. They're the ones helping other veterans transition into civilian life. Trump and Musk, they don't give a damn, clearly. These two guys, they're cut from the same cloth. These are two men who have never served.

You guys remember that? This is true. Now these two men, these fucking cowards, they're making decisions that devastate the people who actually did serve and who are still currently serving. This is the same Donald Trump who called American troops suckers and losers.
Remember that? We cannot discount this. He didn't want to visit the graves of fallen Marines in World War II in France. He didn't want to get his fucking hair wet. So he skips it. Same man who insulted John McCain, a war hero, because he doesn't like people who were captured. Remember that? Do you remember he tried to block a military funeral for Senator McCain? Yeah, a lot of people forgot that. And now what is he doing? He's doing this again. He's gutting VA jobs, slashing veterans programs, and standing by while Elon Musk destroys the livelihoods of our disabled vets, many of whom, by the way, benefit from DEI hiring preferences. A lot of people forget that. DEI isn't just about women and minorities.
DEI programs actually help disabled veterans transition into civilian jobs, too. And what's happening to them now? Fired, laid off, livelihoods destroyed. You know who the real suckers are here? It's anyone who still believes that Donald Trump respects our military. I mean, just look what he's doing to them. Look what he's doing to the Department of Defense. I, you know, again, this isn't just some Washington, D.C. debate about budgets and numbers, okay? This is real life. You know what these job cuts really mean? It means fewer doctors and nurses, which means longer wait times for veterans trying to get critical health care, fewer benefits for these workers, which means delayed disability checks, housing assistance, pensions, fewer medical services, mental health services, which is really important, in a country where 22 veterans die every day by suicide.
