What is a side quest, and how can hypnosis help you embrace a new adventure?
Adam here, and I'm wondering if you've ever thought about a side quest. Now, a side quest has become a phrase more and more often used to describe a new adventure or a little goal that isn't the main thing. but could be something that is just fun or just for a sense of challenge. So a side quest has a bit more adventure implied to it than just a goal or something that you're doing. It's Adam here, and in this hypnosis session, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis to encourage and, in fact, enhance any kind of side quest that you may be considering or or are currently embarking on. And the reason why this is important is because the client I was working with was in their 60s, already had had a very successful career and life and had started a brand new business
course in education that would be way outside their comfort zone and they wanted to feel rather than intimidated or daunted or you know almost like scared by that they wanted to feel really excited and treat it as the opportunity that it was now the reason why this uses such a broad metaphor is that for this client although they had a specific academic and social quest in mind By making it a broad side quest, it became very versatile so it could represent any future side quests in the future. But that also means it becomes relevant for anyone. And I would encourage you to ask yourself this question. before actually listening to it. And that is that if you were able to do anything as a bit of a challenge without any fear of judgment, any fear of consequences, you could only get it right.
If you couldn't fail in this quest, what quest would you take on? I want you to think about that. And there's probably clues in your life. It's probably something you've considered before. Maybe you've always had an interest in this area, but you haven't actually followed it through. What would be that side quest for you? And it might be learning something new. It might be travel. It might be setting up a new business or writing a book. I had a recent side quest where I wrote a screenplay. I'd had the movie idea for a long time, but actually turned it into 130-page screenplay. So... Side quests can be anything you want them to be. That's the great thing about a side quest. I would encourage you to think about what your side quest would be before you listen to the hypnosis.
Then you'll get more out of the session. It was created for an individual. As such, some of the references might be right for them and not quite right for you. So if you like the idea of working with me directly, I would encourage you to check out the link in the show notes or visit my website, adamcox.co.uk, and there you could book a consultation call directly to explore working with me directly rather than listening to the recordings that were created for other people. So if that's of interest, check that out. But for now, I would encourage you to find a quiet, comfortable place, the kind of environment that you won't be distracted or disturbed to relax and enjoy the session.
How can you relax and find the courage to try something new?
Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation, and as you exhale, set the intention to release any tension. as you scan your body from the top of your head all the way down. And whenever you discover any tension, you get to free it and feel that tension diluting, dissolving, perhaps just eroding away. And imagine that tension leaving your body like something gray and dark there in your outward breath. I want you to get a sense that breath is what regulates the switch between alertness And also, what gravitates towards the power of your imagination. And the deeper you breathe, the more that part responsible for resting and digesting becomes awakened, and that part
naturally finds it easier to harness the very hemisphere responsible for creativity and imagination. So just allow yourself to become more comfortable now, and not because anything needs to happen immediately, but simply because, for a little while, you can allow the outside world to become less important, and you can allow your attention to move inward.
