All right, welcome into Huddle Up with Bucky Brooks. Today we're going to take a final look at Browns Jaguars. A first look at Jaguars Broncos at Mile High on Sunday. Trevor Lawrence, an ascending Trevor Lawrence versus the Broncos defense. Jaguars defense versus Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, who had his issues on Monday. Yeah, and it's a great win. One of the best performances that we've seen in terms of Jaguars played from start to finish. I love the energy. I love the competitiveness. I love the edge. But more importantly, I love how we just took care of business. John, you and I have both been around really good teams, various spots, and there's just a professionalism that they exhibit when it's time to beat teams that they're supposed to beat. For the first time in a long time in Jacksonville, I felt that with the Cleveland Browns coming in, I felt from the beginning of the game to the end of the game, there was never any doubt that Jacksonville was going to win, and a lot of that was in their preparation and their focus, the way they jumped on them from the start.
and never really let up until the end.
Yeah, we'll get into a lot of the meat and potatoes of that game here in a second. But I thought it was a good reminder, Bucky, and maybe affirming. I think people in the offseason remembered the Bills game, and they
maybe
remembered the Broncos game. I think maybe they forgot that in the second half of the season, once they got through Arizona and the Raiders— They were this team, meaning they handled teams they were supposed to beat late last year. And the Titans, the Jets, they became a team that did this. Which to me is obviously the mark of a good team because no matter how good you are, it's hard to double-digit teams in this league. The fact that they are that, they take care of business. Trevor's been out of the game, I think, I think the status six times since the Raiders game last year, the Cardinals, whichever one was second. Bucky, these guys are good.
Yeah, really good teams take care of business. They show you from the jump how they get down. Very talented team. But I would say the best part of the team and talking to the players is their understanding of who they are and how they have to play to win. Liam Cohen talked about this team being a gritty team, a physical team, not a team that can deal with a flash. and the pizzazz, but more a blue collar team. When you talk to Trayvon Walker and those guys, they talk about, hey, I gotta make sure that I'm just feeling my 111th, that I'm one part of the puzzle. I don't try and do more than my part. I just need to be a part of the team, do my job just like everybody else. And this team works together. They also talk about,
Things like, hey, it's not really about the other team. Yes, we have to prepare for them, but it's about us and what we do to get ready and making sure we play up to the standards that we've established. All of those things are like the mature responses that you hear from championship teams, teams that are always in the conversation of being not only in the playoffs, but eventually being the last team in the tournament. And I just believe that there's a maturity about this team that matches what championship teams have to have and what championship teams exhibit.
