Right here at Everbanks Stadium. Have you been have you been over there? They did a media tour today. I didn't get a chance to get over there and I've been over there.
And your thoughts. I think it's gonna be a great fan experience. I think it's be intimate. I think uh I think it has a chance to be really special. Um I think the the team did a great job of getting it ready. Um give a lot of credit to you know, Mark Lamping, Chad Johnson and their crew of making sure that the stadium was where it needed to be to play an NFL game. The grass looks great. Um kudos to. By the way, kudos
to your grounds crew, man. Field looks great.
First of all It's funny because y you don't appreciate what you have a lot of times until you go somewhere else. We have one of the number one, we have one of the best facilities in the NFL. And that's a big thanks to Shaw. We have one of the best grounds crew. around and what they do with our field on a daily basis, uh to make sure 'cause that thing takes some I mean it took some heat. The I'm talking practice field now. We'll get to the game in a second. And uh game field. But that takes a lot of wear and tear. You got a bunch of guys going and and the amount of force it goes into. And if you're ever here now nobody sees it 'cause everyone goes home. Except for us who were here and my office looks right outside and I watch these guys.
Immediately when practice is over, it's cleared out. We have a team of individuals going through and fixing divots and repairing the field. They're
out there during practice too, man.
Oh, the because they're out there during practice watching how the field is playing. We have meetings on a regular basis talking about the field condition, what we want to do, is it too soft, too firm, blah blah blah, whatever. Um we in that team's led by uh Jeff DeLuca, who's been here a long time and all you know him, Jeff and Brian, um is a outstanding leader of the he runs the entire facilities here and has several other responsible. And what his team does makes it you you just appreciate you go to other places, like, okay. Not that nothing wrong with those other places. But the first class facility or field that we get to practice on. Um because that's w you know, we talk about the most important thing in this organization what happens on the grass.
Well if you believe that, you better have good grass. You better have some good grass. And then you go over to the field. Um Ласт є You go around different You play in all different states. We have one of the best natural surfaces in the entire NFL. It's n I mean, it is really first class and we actually keep it that way. You know, uh we're not gonna get into that right now. Um that's a hint logging. Yeah, I know you're going to stay where we are now current. Uh the um I'll say this, regardless of whatever the surface ends up being in twenty twenty eight, I will promise you this we'll have the best surface of the the whatever w decisions made, and there's a lot going into that. We'll have the best surface.
It'll be there'll be no expense that is Expense and money won't matter.
We have the one of the again, one of the greatest owners in professional sports who wants to make sure uh things are done right. Um but you look at that playing field last year and then you go over there today um and right now and what they've done and and uh it's first class so that's a long way of saying that I think it's gonna be a great environment. The locker rooms, the training facility, everything ready. There's some minor changes in the hallway of how we'll get on the field. Nothing that will impact anybody. Nothing that our fans will even notice or see. Um
How do they do it? Because you know, Tony going back A couple of months ago, there's cranes in the stadium. There is no field. There's nothing but equipment.
