18 Nov 2025
Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?
Good morning, girlies, it's the toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast.
They sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday. I'm ready to be sat on because my next co-host is the artist formerly known as the Lady Sinner. It's Justin Sylvester, hello.
I'm gonna bring that back. You better. I'm bringing that back. We're working on a show about it right now. Are you? Yeah.
The lady sitter, like if you weren't there for the lady sitter era, you guys were missing out so hard. You were sitting on ladies, myself being one of them.
Crazy, right? We met on a lady sitter excursion.
We did.
We literally met with a bunch of bougie white women.
Do you know that when you Google lady sitter, because I actually did this morning. I was gonna do a clue, you know, I've been doing these like clues for who my guest is. And I ended up doing something about the Today Show, which I wanna talk to you about in a second. But I was gonna do something about the Lady Sitter.
And Google Gemini says, the Lady Sitter is a phrase coined by Justin A. Sylvester.

Chapter 2: How did Justin Sylvester become the hardest working man in Hollywood?
Yeah.
They're wholesome. They are. You are, by the way. No, I am. But I'm also single and younger and gay and in these streets. They need that. And I think I bring something very different.
Absolutely.
You know, I often look at Gayle and I think to myself, even though Gayle's older.
Mm-hmm.
Gail's out in the streets. Yeah. Gail's at parties. Yeah. Gail knows people.
She was at that Kris Jenner party.
She was at Kris Jenner party. She went to space.
Oh, right.

Chapter 3: What insights does Justin share about filling in for Hoda?
So goddamn hard. But I don't know. Maybe it's this round. Maybe it's in five years.
Right.
but something is brewing and I feel it. And my little Scorpio spidey senses tell me like, if it's not this, it's gonna be something else.
Yeah, of course. No, you've always, like everything you've done has been amazing. I think we thought like for a minute, like Daily Pop was, it was gonna be, it was it. And when that ended, we were like, wait, wait. And it was so just like a stepping stone for you. Daily Pop was everything.
Bitch, I want that show back.
Those were the days. Like, I don't know why E couldn't sustain it because the show itself was brilliant when it was you, Morgan, and Carissa. Yeah. It was perfection and it was what people like me, the people who listen to the show, it's what we love. It's what we need. It's talking seriously about not serious things. I don't know how they dropped the ball on that.
You know what it is, I think, for a company like EE, and I say this respectfully because I have learned, I've been there for 10 years. I think when... When you are brought in by one executive and then another executive wants to come in, they want to put their shows on air. They want to put their people on air. And what they do is they kind of kick your show to the side.
And that show really did its thing. Although we went through three executive changes, five years on air every morning was, I mean, it was lit.
No, it was iconic.

Chapter 4: What are the challenges of balancing a social life with a demanding career?

Chapter 5: What insights are shared about Meghan Markle's potential appearance at the Met Gala?
And then the young people, they all know Emma Chamberlain. So they do a good job actually of picking people who might not be traditional hosts, but I would love to see you at the top of the stairs.
And the Chamberlain girl does a really good job too.
She does a great job. And you know, she's very TikTok-y. That's the game. You gotta play it all.
You gotta play it all.
But I would love to see you.
Meghan Markle needs a new gay.
Do you, wait, but first of all, do you think Meghan Markle would go, is going to the Met Gala? And I don't know why she hasn't gone. It's very her.
I think now that we have seen her at the Balenciaga. And then at Kris Jenner. At Kris Jenner's, I think this is a preview of what's to come.
It's only a matter of time.

Chapter 6: How do the hosts feel about Meghan Markle's past experiences with the royal family?
By the way, Meghan Markle, I understand why. I am with you. I get it, girl. Like being the only black person in the royal family could be- Could not have been fun. Yeah, I stood by that a thousand times. I thought maybe you should have stayed two more years, but it's okay.
So funny, I actually agree. Only because I think while it probably would have been really hard for her and I didn't want her to go through that, I think if she had stuck it out and made it out on the other side, it would have been this amazing thing to see this like American divorced black woman. I wish, I'm like mad at the potential and I blame him.
I know the toasters can't hear me talk about this anymore, but just, you know, I blame it not working out on Prince Harry. And I think he is the worst person in the world. And I think he didn't protect his wife at all. Not to say that the royal family was amazing to her,
But he did not prepare his wife at all for what the assumption that his family would just take care of it and get her the wardrobe, get her the, that's your fucking job. Like go protect your wife. He just sent her out to go meet the queen without telling her how to curtsy.
I just don't think they, they know. I bet you he got out and didn't know how to even make a easy match. Yeah. Oh, for sure. You know what I mean? Like, how are you going to set somebody up when you couldn't set yourself up your whole goddamn life? Right. But I think Meghan Markle, A, needs a gay who's going to be like, listen, bitch, you're going to get some hard times.
Like, this is going to be hard. Like, they are going to make fun of you for six minutes. It happens to everybody. It does. Look at J-Lo. Katy Perry.

Chapter 7: What is the significance of Cher's return to SNL after 40 years?
When you get to that echelon, Katy Perry, you just got to go through the rough patch. Yeah. You got to run through it, get some mud in your hair.
The only way out is through it.
Is through it. Because if you...
If you go back- It makes it so much worse.
No, no, no. If you go back and retreat, you start over from the beginning. So true.

Chapter 8: What are the details surrounding the burglary of Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke's homes?
So what I need you to do is realize that people, like all's fair- People are talking shit about it, but people are watching it, including myself.
And they're leaning into like the jokes.
And they're leaning into it. You just need to lean into yourself. And I thought she was almost there when she did the Gwyneth Paltrow thing. I was like, oh, she's doing it. Yes.
She knows it.
And then she retreated back. You just got to run through it. You got to run through it.
She doesn't have good people around her. You do, this year.
I think she'll be with Balenciaga.
I would love to see her there.
She's gonna do it. I'm still kind of confused on why they ripped the photos down.
