What procedures does the board follow at the start of the meeting?
Yeah. The october twenty ninth, twenty twenty five meeting of the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals will please come to order. Are there any matters to be presented by members this morning? If not, I'll review our procedures for those of you who have not been here before. Once your case is called, please step up front to the microphone and I'll ask that anyone wishing to speak to that particular case please stand, raise their right hand, and face the clerk on the left. to take an oath. Once that's done, the applicant will be asked to state their name and address for the record and whether or not they reaffirm the affidavit as previously submitted. The applicant will then be asked to have a seat in the front row or listen remotely while we get the location and a report from staff.
Once we've heard the staff report, the applicant will be given up to ten minutes to give their justification for whatever it is they are seeking today. I emphasize up to ten minutes because we have detailed staff reports which have the justification in them, but feel free to add to that if you would like to do so. I'll then ask if there is anyone who would like to speak to this application. If you have not already signed up to speak with the clerk, please do so at the clerk's desk to your left. Each individual speaker will be given up to three minutes in which to speak, and if you represent a citizens association, you'll be given up to five minutes. If there are speakers in opposition, the applicant or the applicant's agent will be given up to five minutes of rebuttal time.
Once you've spoken, you cannot come back to speak unless you're asked to by a member of this board. With that said, we've got some administrative items that we must call first before we call the public hearings portion of the agenda. So our first case is Shagay Nur Shad SP twenty twenty five dash SP dash zero zero zero one six that's being administratively moved to november nineteenth, twenty twenty five.
That is correct. Uh for the record it's Brent Krasner from the Department of Planning and Development. And in this case it was just a scheduling conflict on the part of the applicant, um but it'll be ready to go on November nineteenth.
Great, thank you. Um the next the most Reverend Michael F. Burbage, Bishop of the Cat Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, and his successors in office, Saint Robert Bellarmine Chapel, SPA ninety two dash B zero one six, also administratively removed to November the nineteenth.
Yep, that is correct. This was we were working on some revisions to their uh to their plans, um, but they've they've they've done that and uh we are on we're on schedule um for the nineteenth. Okay.
The next case, Gina S. Healy and Joseph P. Healy, SP dash twenty twenty five dash sp zero zero zero four nine, administratively moved to january seventh, twenty twenty six.
That is correct. These folks we're we're dealing with a resource protection area. issue and some previous work that was done. Um and so trying to sort out a path forward for them and we needed a few more months working with LDS and so we're targeting January the seventh. Um for now that's the plan. We'll see as we get closer.
Okay, great. Thank you. And Susan E. Jones, SP dash twenty twenty five dash M V dash zero zero zero four eight, administratively moved also back to uh november nineteenth, twenty twenty five.
Yes, that is correct. This one it turned out um we uncovered a it needs a variance in addition to the special permit. Um and so we needed to readvertise and and uh kind of change the application. So we've done that. Um we made the ad date and so it'll it will go with a variance NSP on the nineteenth of November.
Thank you. And then we have a deferral, Daniel Rudy and Lauren Rudy variants uh VC dash twenty twenty five dash FR dash zero zero zero one three with a request to defer to november nineteenth, twenty twenty five.
Yes, this um we advertised it, although the applicants now um there's been a change in their proposal. Um so it r it affects the the setback.
