I'm not 100% on that though, so I don't want to be quoted on that.
But one massive misstep that we did in, I believe it was in the early 1900s, is that we started enriching our flour.
Because we were processing it so much and getting rid of all of the amazing nutrients that live in there that we then had to add the synthetic ones back in.
Oh, yeah.
And they're adding folic acid in too.
Exactly.
I know it.
Well, there's one fact that I just recently learned, actually, that I find fascinating.
So I have something called the MTHFR gene, which I'm sure you're very aware of.
So first of all, 60% of women have this gene.
A lot of people have it.
So I always encourage everyone.
In fact, if you're having kids, I would get your kids tested immediately because it's also how you're going to
You're going to treat them.
And essentially what it means is that your detoxification pathways are not able to work as efficiently and effectively.
And as a result, also, you have to have methylated vitamins.
But if you have folic acid instead of folate, which is the real vitamin B9, and folic acid is the synthetic version of it, folic acid is essentially poisonous for people that have MTHFR.
And so it's incredibly bad for you.
And this is something else that there is a connection there.
And I'm not sure if we've fully well, there's that.
