So it's a very fine line.
And I don't want to ever suggest that we shouldn't lean on our partners because I think that's really important.
I think when we do lean on our partners, we can say in the moment, you know, for example, I even said to my partner the other night, like, hey, baby, I really need you in this moment because I'm feeling exhausted.
I really need your support right now.
And that was really helpful in that moment.
And then at other times, we have to be able to work on ourselves so that our partner doesn't feel all that pressure to take responsibility for our mental health.
Because if they end up putting pressure on us because they're finding it exhausting or they're finding it difficult, then it just intensifies the whole situation.
but I'm
yeah well i think we one of the hard things in this conversation can i just say is that we're all going through some kind of mental health struggle so everyone in some sense is going to be going through something and brings their own baggage to a relationship now i don't want to quantify whose is worse or better or whatever but we're all struggling in some sense especially in relationships so it's always challenging but when
we're both you know say we have a diet both have a diagnosis or we're both really struggling with something that we bring to the relationships it's important in that moment to be able to understand each other's triggers and the different people are going to be triggered by different things you know so one we need to communicate that with each other for example you might say to a partner you know when you walk out without saying goodbye which reminds me
my parents not having a good relationship so this will trigger me into feeling upset or when you talk about your work I feel triggered about my work or whatever it is so the other person knows okay my partner's been triggered here because of their background or their past or because of what they're going through now I can step in the support and that can reverse the roles when it's the other way so it's just about understanding and communicating what the other person really needs at different moments

What you're looking at is someone that has this disorder in their self esteem.
They basically are extremely insecure, but that's got a front of total security and confidence.
I think I think you'll see
that it's really on a continuum.
So you've got narcissistic personality disorder at the extreme end, but there's it goes all the way down to some some kind of this selfishness, you know?
Um, and you'll see that narcissism, there's a little bit of narcissism in a lot of people.
Exactly.
I mean, if you look at the criteria, we've all got a little bit of that potential in us.
