They might actually find that they're a bit repulsed by romantic activities or expectations, could be not liking sex.
Maybe they're satisfied with friendships, but it's not, you know, they're not experiencing the pressure in the way some other people do.
I mean, when I understand it, when people fall in love, it's the pleasure centre takes over the brain and you have limerence.
So you get a flush of hormones that make you want to be with the other person and have lots of sex with them and they put blinkers up so that you can't see that they burp and they fart and they scratch their bum like everybody else does.
We are hardwired to find a mate.
So there is a bit of that fucking leads to fondness kind of thing.
That's true and people can fall in love that way.
But some folks, they don't view sex that way.
They don't view connection that way.
And, you know, that's okay.
It is pretty complicated.
I I guess it's it feels like people are wanting to put labels on things that kind of overlap.
A little as well.
I I mean I think there are some people who um have lower libidos in life, so they they might want to have sex less frequently than than if you you look at putting things into a bell shaped curve, they might be on the the sort of smaller, flatter end where they don't want as much as the people in the middle.
But there are some people who are genuinely just uh, you know, who sit in the asexual spectrum and I really like that it's a spectrum or a scatter plot chart or whatever.
You know, I'm sort of seeing Venn diagrams and I can see lots of names of types of folk that you can put in the asexual
circle or shape on your Venn diagram.
Um, that people that are gonna move around in there.
So there might be some people like, Yep, I'm completely and utterly um feeling asexual, aromantic.
