Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
The Dave Ryan Show on KDWB.
You ever wonder if you're getting like taken or scammed on Facebook or social media?
Chapter 2: How did a Facebook encounter lead to a potential scam?
Yeah. So I'm on this like I grew up in Colorado Springs Facebook page. That's where I grew up. And so I commented about this like, oh, there's a picture of this old Waffle House that they tore down. And I said, that's where I had my first date ever was at that Waffle House. So woman comments on mine. She's like, hello, David. I would like to ask you some questions. Can you direct message me?
And I thought, okay, well, sure. So I messaged her and I said, hi, it's Dave from Facebook. And I look at her profile and she's a very attractive 24-ish looking Asian woman. And her pictures, they're only pictures of her. There's like her with a cup of coffee. One is like a model's pose. And then there's one of like, so it was a very small little profile. And I thought, here it comes.
Somebody is like, you know, there is a dude who's pretending to be an attractive young woman. So I wrote back and I said, well, what do you want to know? And she's like, I am coming to Colorado Springs and I would like to know what I should do while I'm there. And I'm like, OK, well, here's a big long list. And then she didn't write back. And then this morning she wrote back.
She said, that is wonderful. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'm coming in January, blah, blah, blah. But because I'm a cynic, I keep waiting for them to be like, I'm a little short on money. Yeah. For the ball to drop. Is there any way that you can Venmo me or Cash App? That's their favorite, right?
Yeah, usually. Or Zelle.
Zelle. Zelle me some money. And so she hasn't done it. So now I'm starting to think that it's real. And I was showing Susan because I'm like, look at this. This young, beautiful woman is asking me for advice of all the people on this page. Why is she asking me? Mm-hmm.
And so I keep thinking it's like some guy who's like, you know, sitting in his basement somewhere in his underpants smoking a cigar.
Yeah.
And he's like trying to scam me.

Chapter 3: What are the highlights of the Throwback Threesome segment?
See, you're changing up your story too. Well, it depends on your definition of normal. That's what it is.
15 years ago on the Throwback Threesome.
Who doesn't love a good throwback? It's the Throwback Threesome. It's on the radio. On KDWB.
I'm really looking forward to the number one song from this year in 2010 because I love this song. Let's get started with TV shows. TV shows that were big on this date in 2010. Number three, Sherlock. Number two, The Vampire Diaries. And number one was this one. Can you name it? Volunteers working countless hours. It is Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Ooh. Okay. Movies.
Number three at the box office was Four Colored Girls. That was in 2010. Number two, Due Date. I don't remember these movies. Me neither. Four Colored Girls was a good Tyler Perry movie. And number one, can you name this one? Okay, okay. Metro Man and I were never a couple. But I thought you two were. Everybody did. It's just, he was never really my type. Don't know this one either.
It's a cartoon for sure. I think so. Called Mega Mind. Oh, Mega Mind. All right, here we go. Let's go to KDWB. Number three song on KDWB on this date in 2010. Number two song.
the number one song on this date in 2010 where were you were you in school were you working were you on your first marriage were you in the hospital having a baby right now where did you live in 2010 let's flash back and maybe this song will help That song was number one 15 years ago on KDWB. We're doing the throwback threesome.
We're going to get to 2005 in just a second, but I'm looking at text messages. Somebody said 15 years ago, I was dancing to that song in my middle school gym in eighth grade like I knew what Slizzard was.
I still don't know what Slizzard is.

Chapter 4: What is the premise of the War of the Roses segment?
Not both. Now you might disagree with Jenny because maybe you did both and you loved it and your friends all loved it. Do you think their friends pretend to love it because they love you?
I think some people really love that stuff. I know Bailey's a big fan of things like that. I mean, I like those things, but the people that I know who have been married, they have done both, but the bridal shower is more for their family, like older family members. And then the bachelorette party is for all their friends who want to go out and get shots. And I get that.
And I thought about saying, well, like if you have like the bachelorette party for just friends and bridal shower for family, sure. But I'm sticking to it.
Chapter 5: What are the details of the cheating scandal discussed?
You get one or the other.
I mean, I went to both for all of those. I know.
And I've gone to both for all of those. And my thing is, is I feel like I'm coming off as like a salty single woman right now who potentially will never get married. But it truly isn't that. It's the fact that we're spending so much money on... And you're getting the same things. The same things you get at a bridal shower half the time are like the same things for weddings.
Maybe not so much anymore because weddings usually just give money now. But there's a registry for a bridal shower. There's a registry for the wedding. And I think bridal showers are kind of outdated to an extent because those were developed back in the day when you didn't really live with a partner. Or if you did, you didn't have much yet. And now people are getting married later. Yeah.
So like... I don't know. The men have a bachelor party and they have a wedding. And that's it. And that's all they have. So why are we having to do all of it?
I'm looking at text messages, Jenny. Jenny stirs the pot. I am with you, Jenny. It is so ridiculous. Another one. Women are expected to give so much money to friends who are getting married. They typed in all caps.
It's crazy. It's like. I don't know. I love a good destination bachelorette party. I do enjoy doing stuff like that because I look at it as like a girl's trip. I don't look at it as just like a bachelorette party, but it's starting to get out of control. And then like and on top of it, when I get invited to something and I can't make it, I still give money for that thing.
Yeah.
Like I could not make a bridal shower recently. I still went in on a group present that I didn't get a thank you for. Yeah. Probably because I wasn't in attendance for it, but I still gave money for it.
