Hi, I'm Dani Shapiro.
We were in the car, like a Rolling Stone came on, and he said, there's a line in there about your mother.
And I said, what? What I would do if I didn't feel like I was being accepted is choose an identity that other people can't have. I knew something had happened to me in the middle of the night, but I couldn't hold on to what had happened.
These are just a few of the moving and important stories on my 13th season of Family Secrets. Listen to Family Secrets on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Chapter 2: How do the generations differ in their perspectives?
No, I have no idea. I didn't even notice that. She's a natural.
She's a natural.
I'm a natural, Ashton says. All right. We are moving on to the TV show that you've probably heard about. It's new. The medical drama series, The Pit. Ooh, yes, it's on my watch list. I haven't gotten to it yet. It feels like maybe ER rebirth to me.
It's really intense.
Well, it is the same guy who did ER.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Yeah, and I'll play you a little trailer just so you get the vibe. It's a very intense show.
Being here means no matter how good you are or how hard you try, someone might die. That's called being an emergency medicine doctor. Welcome to the pit. Let's go save some lives.
I didn't know it was that cheesy. That's called being an emergency medical doctor. Welcome to the pit. But one reason it's getting so popular is it's the most accurate medical show of all time, professionals are saying. So that's interesting because when ER was on, of course I was living with my mom and dad, and my mom was a volunteer EMT. She's like, nope, nope, that's not how you do it.

Chapter 3: What are the latest updates in the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj feud?
How many are real? Two are real. I mean, I... Okay, here's my reasoning. I think that the pee thing... I'm going real, but I also feel like the Actors Guild, the Actors Union would be like, excuse us. We need to be able to have a bathroom break that's inhumane and dangerous for all actors.
Yeah, no, totally.
There'd be a lawsuit. Yeah. And the pregnant women, I mean, that'd be nice to get a free ultrasound. You know? Yeah, it's a win-win. Because those things are expensive. I never thought of that, bro. Yeah. So I'm going to go with one and two. The blood and the pregnancy are real. You are right, bro.
Yes.
Yes. But yeah, every actor had to learn ultrasounds, drawing blood, CPR, like a two-week boot camp. That is true. And then, yeah, they did track all the blood on any scene to make sure it splatters, like, correctly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's interesting.
Some sicko, like, calls in, like, look, I've seen a lot of blood, and that was not real. That's not accurate. That's cool. Wow, I've got to watch that show now. It's really intense, though. Like, when you watch it, it is very, like, emotionally draining. Is it? Yeah. Like, very dramatic. Well, it's not a real good mental health job to work in an ER.
And that's what it shows in the show, how their mental health deteriorates. It's not a comedy, that's for sure. No, no. All right. We are going to move on because I was making my questions today and realized I didn't have any music involved. Oh, okay. So I made up a question involving some music for us to listen to. You do know the first two were, the first question was about song lyrics. Was it?
Yeah, and Cardi B. Okay, but you didn't get to listen to any music.
