I was sent you a podcast the other day, Nolan, and it was on like AI, and it was Brian Gubernik's podcast, and he was talking about where it was like where he s sees like chat GBT and stuff right now and how people are using it. And he was talking about like how like it gas it's kinda like gaslighting people. We talked about that. So that was like the simple version of podcast I sent you on AI.
Unknown 0:54
And then yesterday I listened to What would you say his approach was positive or negative?
Chris Bowers 0:58
Well, his was just like talking about it, I think, from the angle of It's getting a little bit like people aren't using it right, is I think what he was saying, in my opinion. Like he said it should be more of like a sparring partner than like a yes man. And for most people, it's a yes man and it's gaslighting you. It's making you look you put in something, it's making you look smarter. And then it's gaslighting you a little bit. And then it's obviously writing for a lot of people. You can actually clearly see that, even if you take out the double dashes. But I think his was more. How to utilize it and not let it take advantage of you and make you feel cooler than you probably are. And then the Hermosy one that I didn't send you yesterday was where it was like there's gonna be a clearly an upper class and a lower class.
Chris Bowers 1:46
It was more of, I don't want to say like a pessimistic view of it, but it like wasn't the roses version. It made you a little bit like tense at the end where you started thinking, like, what's where's my place? That's the part that
Kevin Kauffman 1:57
Put that one in the group chat if you don't mind.
Chris Bowers 1:59
What do you mean?
Kevin Kauffman 2:00
When you send that to Nolan, send it to me too. That's all I'm saying.
Chris Bowers 2:04
Okay. Yeah.
Kevin Kauffman 2:05
Because you said you were going to send them the hormose one. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Unknown 2:10
What was your takeaway from like how can we take away anything from the hormose one? I mean, you don't have to ruin it, but I'm still gonna listen. I mean it was eleven minutes.
Chris Bowers 2:18
It's not nothing that it was just it was simple on just I mean, obvious obviously he has a lot of products that it look like he's gonna be coming out with. So I always from that lens of what's the is there a precursor to He's a marketer. Yeah, like is this a marketing tool? I don't even know. Like his was just more doom and gloomy. And Guberniks that I was listening to was more of the bright side. But I think that's Just I don't know Gubernik really at all. I know him from afar. You know him very well. And that's I think that just also comes from If we looked at anything in the past that's already happened and settled, they probably both would have had different opinions leading up to that too. Like when the internet was coming out, they probably both would have looked at it from a different lens.
Chris Bowers 2:58
So I'm starting to figure out that. I don't think there's ever I don't really think there's like a wrong or a right sometimes with people's opinions. I think it's just how you approach life. Like are you more of a pessimist? Are you more of an optimist? Do you look at the bright side? Some people look at the negative side and also it fuels them to do better. Yep. I'm actually more of that style. So
Kevin Kauffman 3:19
Yeah, it's funny. I was thinking about this yesterday on my one of my Whatever, one of my walks last night, I was like I wish there was podcasts in like the late nineties. I wanna I wanna go find content to hear the way people talked about the internet.
Unknown 3:35
Yeah.
Kevin Kauffman 3:35
Because it's the only thing I can think of that's comparable to what we're going through right now. I know there's been a lot of changes and everything.
