We'll end on this dude, but that A B C thing that you sent me, do you use that at all or did you just send that
Kevin Kauffman 0:36
No, I sent that to you because I thought it would be something that you that you like. Uh it's something I filed because I don't have um You you cause me to think further about it. It it's a as far as like actually doing that. Like b well, between us and I don't know however many thousand people hear this too. Like I still great gay, like Until like six months, nah, eight months ago, I had I had not set any goals. No goals in my life since two thousand nineteen. Not health, not business, not personal, not financial n no zero goals. Intentionally? Intentionally. I was kind of like in a weird spot where I was like Rebelling, I guess, in a way, against against goals. What I did do though is I kept doing what I thought was the right thing to do.
Kevin Kauffman 1:28
to where I could grow my consistently. Yeah. Right. And so I had that going for me. I mean, it wasn't until eight months ago I set a goal that has nothing to do with business, by the way. I thought if I hit that hit the goal it could actually have a positive impact in business. But all that to say, like I barely have one goal right now. And that's something that I've been spending a lot of time on. It's actually something I'm working on quite a bit right now. When I say working on, I mean writing things down, thinking about when I walk.
Unknown 1:59
Do you like goals now?
Kevin Kauffman 2:01
No, still don't like goals. I never been like I just I d I just set some because I felt like I was at a point where I could. Mentally, like, hey, this might be a good next step right now. Again, because what I what I switch to. In twenty nineteen, instead of setting the goal was just do the next right thing. And and so That's what I've done. That's what I've tried to do anyway. So I'm not perfect at it, but I've tried to just do like the next right thing. And there'd be days like I've I've shared at least with you, there's been times when like for and I would have a like a daily goal of just move somebody forward in our recruiting business. Just one person that on our list move them forward and we call it a win.
Kevin Kauffman 2:43
Right. So you could if if you wanted to call that a goal, I guess you could say I've had goals, but I haven't had like recruit X many or sell this number of houses or work out this many a times or this many day nights. Like there hasn't been like Whereas like I used to set goals for like all of the important what's the word I'm looking for? Categories in my life. And it's just been it's it's just been different for me for the last seven years.
Unknown 3:07
I've been tracking that for three weeks. And today before we came in, I thought we might talk about it. So I was processing how I feel about it.
Kevin Kauffman 3:13
Tell me.
Unknown 3:14
So it was when you sent that to me, it was like three or four weeks ago. And it was make A B C goals. And so just to for people to know what you sent me, it was like a B goal, like if you got a Have grades for your goal. And it was like a B should be like something that you think you can consistently do and it feels good. So then the C would be just the bare minimum. Like you should do that just to keep the momentum alive. But the A was something that would be a stretch. So to give you an example. production. Like selling houses. It was like A is call fifty leads, B is twenty five leads, C is ten. So like my B is twenty five. Like I think I can do that. That's a good day. 50's like hard. But that's great. And then the C is 10 leads.
Unknown 3:58
That's just something you wake up migraine, don't really want to work, not in the mood.
