Why do many agents struggle with discipline versus habit?
Welcome to Next Level Agents, the podcast that's all about breaking barriers and building empires. I'm Kevin Kaufman, and together with my crew, bringing you straight up fire. Interviews with top tier agents, game changing thinkers, plus the strategies and mindset shifts to dominate in real estate. Whether it's personal growth, leadership packs, or next level tactics, we've got you covered. So tell me, what does the next level look like for you? Buckle up because we're about to take you there right now.
I think the part I struggle with is and I think we're blessed to be on the good side of it, is some people don't have to try as hard to get really good results. And when when you see others putting in the same effort as you doing significantly better, it's really defeating.
That's the but that's the you go back to Keller Williams models, that's the E to P, the entrepreneurial. So like I'll give you an ex I'll just give you a real life example. Fred, his first year in real estate, like got license, sold thirty-five houses, maybe it was thirty-four, whatever. back in 2000, whatever year it was. No, and by the way, no leverage, right? He had no assistant, nothing like the office he was a part of, I think they might have entered listings into the MLS, like it was like old school brokerage, Century 21. And so his sort of entrepreneurial level was 34 deals a year. Like he could do that without being real purposeful. Like that's where his natural ability took him.
Mm-hmm.
I did like twelve.
Yeah.
And that's my natural ability was twelve before I had to be purposeful. And I know other guys and gals that they make it look so easy. In fact, there's some like I've got a friend, I love him to death. His his entrepreneurial level, where he just, when he decides he's gonna do something, is so high that it looks to other people like he's being purposeful and he's not. I know him, I know him really well. I know the inside of his life and his business, and it's horseshit. Like he's just just showing up and naturally getting that result. And it's awesome. Don't get me wrong. It makes them a lot of money. What he's capable of if he would act like an adult and grown up in business would be five times that.
Interesting.
But he just has a high entrepreneurial level. So it's this, it's it's a model that if you go look at the millionaire real estate agent book called E to P, which is entrepreneurial to purposeful. And everybody has a different level of like they just show up and get this result without really focusing and going, I'm gonna get better at this. What are the things I need to put focus on? What are the scripts I gotta do? And It's easy to look at someone else and just assume it's all entrepreneurial. I could easily look at your Instagram as an example. Now I know you, so I know that you've been purposeful about it. But it would be easy for me to look at it and go, Oh yeah, well like must be easy. No no one's got it easy.
Right. And so that I think a lot of times we think something is easy for other people and it might be, but in most cases, depending on how they're succeeding, it's it might not be.
Well, I've just noticed like some agents who get in the business and do a lot of business out the gate. Like I'm like, that's sometimes just like a good reputation just merging into real estate. Yeah. There's people that are like 38, that's their second career. They've had it, they've they've got a really good friend network, they've been here their whole life and like they get their real estate license. Avo. Perfect example of just someone who like but like when people if they ever discredited that and were like, Oh, like I'm like, no, like that's someone who
You can't disc yeah, you can't discredit his skill set
for years was not in real estate, but his skill set was he's personable, he's funny, he relates. Yes, he's funny. He's a jokester, like he's very got a lot of charisma.
Yeah. And
so like I've noticed lately is just like charisma and hard like I think a superpower right now that I'm noticing people is like when charisma and hard work.
