It was a hell of a run. The Oiders uh played very well in a couple series where they were the underdogs against Vegas and Dallas. It came to an end unfortunately for the players but Uh last night for the second consecutive year deep in South Florida at Sunrise uh Amarant Bank Arena.

Emonton was completely undisciplined and outplayed in large stretches of the game.
Emonton fell behind in game four, but to the Panthers' credit, they overcame a meltdown of their own in game four, where Leon Dreisettle scored his second overtime goal of the series. And they've beat the orders in game five and game six.
How did the Panthers dominate the series and what were the key turning points?
Usually if you've listened to the show over the years, we talk about you win a series in six or seven games, it's a bounce here, bounce there. Uh the six game series in many ways, shapes, and forms for me flattered Edmonton a bit. Really did. The orders won two of the three overtime uh games. Just to put things in perspective, Edmonton and Florida played eight games this season. The Orders did not beat the Panthers once. in regulation all year. Uh here's what I would uh uh share with you. Last year, when Eventon lost in seven games and rallied from three nothing down, Stuart Skinner Actually had a better save percentage than Sergei Bobrovsky. The Oiders outscored the Panthers five one on special teams and twenty three eighteen overall.
You can make a strong argument Emmonton was unlucky not to have come all the way back in that series. You could. You could make that argument. This year, Sergey Borrowski had a nine forty five on five save percentage. 919 overall in the series. Uh, which the last time I checked is pretty good. So he was stopping Pucks. Um Stuart Skinner at eight sixty one, Calvin Pickard at eight seventy eight. So Florida got the better goaltending. Everyone will concede that. The Otters outscored eight to four on special teams in the series and twenty eight seventeen overall. Again, last year Everton outscored Florida twenty three eighteen. Not an excuse but a factor in the series was the injury to Zach Hyman. The oilers have not disclosed any injuries yet.
