They got more and more confidence, and they were tougher and tougher to put away, and eventually they got us.
All right. Frank Cervelli was also on yesterday from Frankly Hockey. I asked him to comment on Connor McDavid calling the Oilers average.
I thought Connor McDavid's words were prescient. accurate uh he seemed to actually be resigned to this fact how was anyone expecting a different result based on where this team was at at this moment in time and i thought it was it was fair and what it's done is it has put everyone on notice he has taken his share of responsibility also including himself and leon dry settle did this as well which is true leadership saying we also need to be better it starts with us we're the players but i don't know how you could look at any of the last handful of seasons and say that one this team has improved and two that There haven't been a whole truckload of mistakes that have happened around them to put this Oiler team in a position where they might actually get through this entire window of Connor McDavid in his prime and not have a true Stanley Cup banner to show for it.
