Um thank you very much again for pulling an extra hour on Thursday show, an extra 90 minutes on Friday, as we were stuck in New York traffic. It it is wild. Like it took I know we had our orders now road trip. We had 88 people out there, and the second bus missed about the half of the first period of the game against the uh New York Islanders. And uh we ended up having an event Saturday in downtown New York City, and it was awesome. And people were stoked and Yeah, I never lose sight of the fact.
How did the Oilers’ goaltending perform during the New York road trip?
That uh you know It's A great combination of jobs to be a uh a radio analyst and do a little bit of TV work and and host a show called Oilers Now, but just how awesome and incredible Oilers fans are and how dedicated they are, how passionate they are, they put their monies where you know where their mouth is and uh and they're very opinionated, which is good 'cause today you get to share your opinion. We will have our regular Monday contributors to the show, uh Daily Faceoffs, Frank Saravalli. And for the horses and horse oh chat. that for uh Jeff Robeler, you almost got an extra plug there, my man. Oilers get a pair of victories just like we all thought, Brendan. Uh Calvin Pickard going head to head against Ilyas Sorokin, out dueling him. And Stuart Skinner going head to head against Igor Shisterkin. And outdoing him. And both those guys were good early. The respective goaltenders for the Islanders and the Rangers. But you know what? Edmonton blocked a lot of shots and then they they dug in a little bit differently than they had. They're still not scoring a lot of goals. And do they ever score empty net goals ever? Have you ever seen a team not like if Tri Settle doesn't win the scoring race, it's gonna be because of empty net points. It's unreal, isn't it?
They're cursed a little bit in that realm, but uh yeah, as you say, they pick up a couple of uh or grind out rather than pick up a couple of victories.
