Hey, it's Bob Stoffer. I just wanted to let you know that you can listen to Oilers Now ad-free on Amazon Music, included with Prime. I'm sorry I don't have any trag tragically heav stuff to play today. Bob is off today. He's actually MC an event tonight, so I said, yeah, I'll step in. 12 games left to go. Where is the season gone? And the energy level inside that locker room is picking up, as it was inside the arena, I felt, on Saturday night as the orders found a way to knock off the Seattle Kraken without twenty-nine and ninety-seven in the lineup. It was a lot of fun to watch, and you could just feel the intensity picking up as the game moved along. The fans were into it. Players were into it. Ryanujan Hopkins was even talking about everybody being into it.
And the same feeling in the locker room today as the orders get ready for their matchup against the Dallas Stars. Coming up on Wednesday night. Faceoff, by the way, is 82. It's a late start on Wednesday night because of TNT. We're of course uh catering to the American broadcast people on Wednesday night. Then it's off to Seattle to take on the Kraken on Thursday night. That one's a little bit after eight o'clock the start from the wet coast. So lots of stuff coming up. Oh, and then on S Saturday they're taking on the Calgary Flames, another eight o'clock start. So that's a fun week ahead. Obviously.
What happened in the Oilers' 5‑4 win over the Seattle Kraken?
Now the question of the day is when are twenty nine and ninety seven coming back? We don't know. We don't know what's going on. We're being told very, very little. The one thing that we did glean out of the press conference today with Chris Knobloch was the fact that he believes that twenty nine will come back before ninety seven. I don't know about you. I what's the rush at this point? Get 'em healthy. Get 'em ready for the playoffs. That's my take on it. I like the way they played as a unit. Everybody stepped up big time on Saturday night, so that's good. But I if i I'd be really surprised if you see either of them back in the lineup until after that game against Calgary. But as we know, the players will determine.
And as we know, we're hearing so little we don't know how close they are, but I dunno, what's the rush? That's just my thoughts on that. So welcome to Oilers Now, which is live from the Play Alberta Broadcast Center. PlayAlberta.ca. When you play in Alberta, it stays in Alberta, so please play responsibly. Here's what's coming up on the show. In a couple minutes, we'll get to the Oilers Now Vault. We'll take a look at our top story. We'll take a look at what's going on around the National Hockey League today. And 435, our our general conversation every Monday with Frank Servalli from Daily Faceoff. Looking forward to chatting. With Frank about what's happening around the National Hockey League. It's MAC Team Monday, so at 5 05, Craig McTavish will join us, pumped up about that.
It's hard to believe. I was noticing that last week, on the twenty first of March, Craig McTavish was traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the New York Rangers for Todd Marchand. So I'm kinda curious to know. I never I've never really asked MAC T about the move from Edmonton to New York City. Obviously he gets a cup out of it, a ring. But he had become so established with the Orlers. Always wondered how and now he's back still living here. So obviously we made a mark on him. So we'll chat with Mac T about that and all sorts of stuff. His take on the Orlers and their defensive play right now seems to be getting a little bit better at the right time. And at 535, Bakersfield Condors head coach Colin Chalk is going to join us.
They had a crazy weekend. The one game in particular against San Jose. Jose was all over the place. You thought, Well they're gonna win this. Oh, what happened there? San Jose came back. Oh, okay. Then uh the count condors come back and you think they got this, and then San Jose come back. It was a lot of goals in a short span of time. So we'll talk to Colin about that and moving forward. But right now though, it's time to get to our top story, which is brought to you by Legacy Heating and Cooling, home of no payments and no interest for one year.
