We just had to because well the last couple of times I've I've filled in for Bob, we we just didn't know where we were going musically. We knew where we were gonna be, you know, talking about hockey, and we're talking about I I w I I don't know about you. I really enjoyed that hockey game last night. Not just the W that was posted by the local squad, but I just thought it was so much fun. LA Kings coming up very solid in the opening twenty minutes. Had the Orlers back on their heels a little bit. The game evened out in the second period, and in the third period.
Period, I thought the Oilers had the edge. And I thought both goaltenders were sensational. I thought Stuart Skinner was great in the first period keeping the Oilers close. And then I felt in the third period, Darcy Kemper did the exact same thing for the Los Angeles Kings as they tried to grapple and find their way to tie up the hockey game and they just couldn't get it done. But it was a big win for the Edmonton Oilers as they improved their record to twenty seven, thirteen, and three. So they've got fifty. Fifty seven points. LA dropped a twenty four, twelve, and five. So they are now four points back with fifty three points. But it was a lot of fun. Shots on goal or even close. It was thirty one thirty for the Kings.

They're heading off through Saskatchewan for three games coming up. They'll kick things off in Regina coming up tomorrow. And then they are in sorry, they're in Swift Current tomorrow. They're into Regina on Friday night. And then they'll play in my old stomping grounds in Moose Jaw on Saturday night where it's always a bit of an adventure. The Moose Javians come out of the woodwork on a Saturday night to support their Warriors. So that's what's going on there. And also, if you're not aware, sixty-six Western Hockey League players have been named to the 2025 NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings. We're going to ask Kurt about the three Edmonton Oil Kings that fall into those rankings. Also, I want to talk to him about the guy who's the number one guy from the Western Hockey League, who is on the
on that list. Doesn't come in at number one, but comes in at a quality number five. And I'm talking about Roger McQueen, who plays for the Brandon Week Kings. He's out of Saskatoon, so we'll be chatting with Kurt about that.
