Good morning, Colm. Lovely to be here. And sorry it's taking so long. Just checking. I've got my flashy microphone out. Yeah. Can you actually hear me through it? Because if I do that, does that make any difference?

It could be the making of you. I mean, for sure. Yeah. Listen, there's so much to get through here. Thanks so much for doing it. Like you said, it's been a year in the making. We've been on and off in conversation over email, but delighted to do it because I think I'm speaking on behalf of a lot of people like our regular fans, like such enormous fans of Soccer AM. And you were there throughout the whole thing. Now, it's not just Soccer AM we'll talk about today. So we'll talk about life jacket as well, because I'm loving the series you're doing in the boot room. But I guess the best place to start, Fenners, is what's been happening since Soccer AM. How did you take the conclusion of that and then what happened afterwards?
It was a bit of a shock to the system initially to be told, you know, we've got 10 weeks to go and then unfortunately that's going to be the end of the show. So, but it's, yeah, it... when you've worked somewhere for such a long period of time and, you know, you put your heart and soul into it, then of course, you know, you're going to be, you're going to be a little bit, you know, a little bit hurt by it. But, Ultimately now, you know, Simon is a great healer and it was, you know, I spent a lot of time there. It was a massive commitment doing the show because I didn't just present it. I think people think you just kind of rock up on a Saturday morning at about, you know, on air at half ten, so I get there about quarter past ten and then, you know, we just wing it.
I mean, it looked like that. But there was a lot more effort obviously goes into it. I was, you know, producing the show. you know, with a great team. So there's a lot of work that goes into it. And you know, you live and breathe it. You don't, you don't really have time off. You're always on your phone and you're always trying to get ahead and you're always trying to book guests. You know, it's like, obviously we're talking about how long it's taken me to do this. And I'm slightly embarrassed by it because I spend my life chasing people and it's difficult, you know? So, um, and you know, every, every Friday, you know, for however many years, I never had a Friday night, you know, you're, you're on, but it's, it, it,
It was part of the sacrifices you make to get a job like that, to be involved with a production like that. And there are things you do, but what I've realised is since leaving that there is a big world out there. And it's freed me up to do other things and to look at different opportunities. Obviously, there comes challenges with that, you know, about finding work and the right type of work and the things that you want to do. And it has taken a while and it is difficult out there.
