Football on Off The Ball. International football is very tactical based. There is a lot of meetings and there's a lot of work on the opposition. It's different but also it's similar. It's football. It's solving problems. It's different formations. It's different players but at the end of the day it's football.

Good evening and welcome along to Tuesday Nights Off the Ball. It's Owen here with you till 10 o'clock this evening. We've got a very busy show coming your way over the next three hours. So the news round is coming up at the later time of half past seven this evening. Then from eight o'clock, we're going to be joined by Neil Ewing to reflect on the first weekend of the All-Ireland Football Championship at provincial level. Efi Fitzgerald, the Waterford football manager, is also going to join us for a chat in that slot. From half past eight, then Paul McGinley, who is still stateside, is going to chat to us about Rory McIlroy's Masters double. Then from 9pm, the football show coming your way with Owen Doyle joining us in studio.
Atletico Madrid versus Barcelona and Liverpool versus Paris Saint-Germain are both going to be heating up. We're into the second legs there. Atleti obviously in charge of a 2-0 lead against Barcelona at half-time and that's why Liverpool chasing a 2-0 deficit at home to PSG. Our number is 0879 180 180 if you want to get in touch with us this evening. Just first of all to give you the team news from the Champions League tonight and if we start with matters at Anfield. Arne Slott has gone much more attacking tonight than he did last week in Paris, I think it's fair to say. So it's Mamardashvili in goals. Jeremy Frimpong looks to be playing at right back as opposed to right wing back tonight. So he's named in the team alongside Konate van Dijk and Kierkegaard along that back four.
Then it's Gravenberg, McAllister and Sobozlai all in the team. And in attack, it's Wiertz, Izak and Eketike. So, Virts on the left, Ekotiki on the right, Ekotiki on the left, Virts on the right. We will see how that plays out. Isaac in the centre. Paris Saint-Germain look to be unchanged. It's Safanov in goal, a back four of Mendes, Pacho, Marquinhos and Hakimi. It's Vitinha, Zaire, Emery and Neves in midfield. And that unbelievable front three of Dembele, Kvarchkelia and Desiree Doué up top. For Atletico Madrid then, they're playing host to Barcelona, as I mentioned. It's Juan Musso in goal for them tonight. It's Molina, Lenormand, Longley, Ruggeri in their back four. Then it's Simeone, Llorente, Koke and Ademola-Luckman in their midfield with Julian Alvarez and Griezmann up top.
Then for Barcelona, it's Joan Garcia in goal behind Joao Cancelo, Gerard Martin, Eric Garcia and Jules Koundé. Pedri, Gavi, Dani Almo in midfield, Fermin Lopez on the left. Laminia Mall on the right and Ferran Torres up front. So 8 o'clock kick-offs both at the Wanda Metropolitano and at Anfield this evening. We are starting though tonight with matters in Gdansk because the Republic of Ireland have recorded a big win away to Poland in their Women's World Cup 2027 qualifiers. The full-time score was Poland 2, Ireland 3. We were carrying live commentary of the game on OTB Sports Radio since 5pm with Ben Symes over in Gdansk for us for the evening.
