What are the hidden psychological triggers that keep people smoking?
Today I decided to share the shocking truth about ending your smoking addiction and I want to share hidden psychological addiction triggers and different ways how your body works against you, how your mind works against you and how you can make your body and your mind work in favor of you, how you can make your body and mind your allies on the journey towards a smoke-free life and How you can overcome these psychological addiction triggers so that you can finally break free from cigarettes. And this leads me directly to the first point I want to talk about. And these are the, yes, as I already mentioned, the hidden psychological addiction triggers. Because smoking cigarettes is more than just being addicted to nicotine.
It's more than just being addicted To the different toxins in cigarettes. Most of the time, in fact, and I know that's a very bold statement to make, but I've experienced it with so many of my clients. Most of the time, it's not the nicotine addiction that is keeping you from living your life as a non-smoker, but it's instead the psychological side of things. It's the addiction to well, to what actually? When you really think Think about it, it's the addiction to the habit. It has become who you are. You have over the years, and maybe you're even smoking for decades, you have become a smoker. And as a smoker, you have certain habits. One of these habits might be in the morning, without even thinking about it, when you have your morning coffee, to always smoke a cigarette.
Another habit would be that
How do everyday habits like coffee or meals reinforce the smoking habit?
Whenever you are on a break at work, you are thinking about and you're not even thinking about it because it's become a subconscious habit. You're simply taking the cigarette out of the pack and you're then smoking it. And another habit might be that whenever you had a big meal and you feel really full, you just light up the cigarette without even thinking about that logically speaking there should be no correlation. Between having a big meal and smoking a cigarette. But your subconscious mind over the years has formed this connection of smoking after a big meal, of smoking during cigarette breaks, of smoking during whatever it might be, right after waking up or right after making love to your partner.
That's also a popular moment when people are smoking. I know that for from so many of my coaching clients. And wouldn't it be absolutely amazing if you could simply enjoy making sweet sweet love to your partner without ever wanting to smoke a cigarette? Wouldn't it be incredible if you could simply enjoy his or her presence without thinking about yep afterwards I have to smoke one? And wouldn't it be amazing if you could simply enjoy your breaks at work without smoking one? Without thinking about oh You have to go into smokers' room or you have to get outside to smoke, and you could simply relax at private events at parties because you don't have to wonder whether or not you can get out to smoke a cigarette.
Or as I often see it at the airport, because I'm traveling a lot, where people are then crammed in the smoker's room, where as soon as they open the door, the smoke is already coming out like blubh to the But uh other people so that's something that I witness quite often. So wouldn't it be amazing to do all these things without cigarettes?
Why is nicotine’s impact on dopamine important for quitting smoking?
And you can if you separate the psychological trigger from the actual act of smoking a cigarette. And that's exactly what we're gonna do in the first hypnosis session of the four week hypnosis coaching program. Because you want to break free from cigarettes. You I'm just having the song In my head you want to pray.
Break free or I want to break free anyway. So let's continue. When it comes
To these psychological addiction triggers, you need to realize that it's not because of the meal, it's not because of the break. You're not smoking because you just had boonga boonga boonga boonga with your partner. You smoke because your subconscious mind made the association of this activity with smoking a cigarette. And in the same way as your subconscious mind made this association, we can remove this association again and
