What is the 90‑day carnivore experiment and why did Ben choose 90 days?

Ben Azadi 0:00
What do you think about adding creatine? It's one of those supplements that has the most research behind it. So I'm a big fan of starting at five grams a day and then going up to as many as twenty, especially during stressful days or travel.
Dave Asprey 0:10
Anytime a doctor says I don't advise that, you say why, and they have to tell you. They probably just haven't thought about it. But here's a hack. If you put it in hot coffee, when it goes into solution instead of into suspension, you get about a 4x higher plasma volume in models of absorption. And the higher the plasma, then the more it penetrates into the brain. You're listening to the human upgrade with Dave Asprey. Have you ever promised yourself you would do things differently, only to end up right back in the same pattern? The same relationship, the same habit, the same reaction, the same result. Predictive mind helps explain why. You complete an assessment and then review the results in a one-on-one session.

Their brain pattern mapping process reveals the hidden drivers behind your behavior and decision making, so you can finally. See what has been shaping your choices all along. This goes beyond personality tests and self-help advice. Predictive Mind maps the patterns that influence how you react, how you make decisions, and why certain cycles keep repeating in your life. Once you can see the pattern, you can start changing it. If you've ever felt stuck, frustrated, or confused by your own behavior, check this out. Go to predictivemind.io. and use code DAVE for 10% off your brain pattern mapping session. Why won't your stress budge no matter what you do? You're doing the work, the cold plunge, the breath work, the supplements, and your nervous system is still running hot.

Here's the problem every recovery tool you use only works when your body believes the threat is over. And if your nervous system never gets that signal, it stays in survival mode regardless of what you stack on top of it. The direct line to that signal runs through your vagus nerve. When you stimulate it, your parasitic Sympathetic nervous system activates. Your body shifts out of fight or flight and into the state where real recovery happens. Zen Bud is the tool I reach for to make that shift happen. It sits on your ears like a headset and uses focused ultrasound to reach your vagus nerve directly. Just five minutes daily is all you need. In clinical studies, participants experienced significant improvements across stress, mood, and sleep after just four weeks of

Use. Many people notice it in their first session. Check it out at zenbud.health and use code DAVE15 at checkout for a discount. Your biohacks are only as good as your nervous system's ability to recover. This is the missing piece. Ben welcome. Dave, I'm excited to be back. Now when we first talked to you just done a little thing on the New York Times bestselling book, pedalic freedom and all that stuff. But one thing I like about your work is that you're always curious, you're running experiments and you're you're kind of doing things that that matter, things that are interesting. So You did something with carnivore. Tell me about your carnivore experience.
Ben Azadi 3:04
Yeah, I decided to do a cool little experiment, which I learned from you. You do a lot of that, don't you? It's either gonna work or not. So in twenty nineteen is when I started uh dabbling with carnivore, twenty days, thirty days, maximum was forty days. But a couple years ago I decided to do ninety straight days, but not just go into it ninety days and not do any kind of get any data. So I did extensive blood work on day one, full thyroid panel, hormone panel, inflammatory markers, full lipid. Panel. I also did a stool test on day one to look at my gut microbiome. I threw on a continuous glucose monitor and I already was wearing or aura to track my sleep heart HRV, et cetera. So I looked at that throughout.
Ben Azadi 3:40
And I have RHNOS and uh erythromyalgia, which are both auto rare autoimmune conditions, especially when they're both together. And my Raynauds has improved tremendously over the years with getting toxins out, mold out of the moldy environment.
