Certified Hypnotist & Cognitive Behavioral Coach 0:00
Today I want to show you how your mind is secretly sabotaging your effort to quit smoking and what you can do about it, or let's better say, what you have to do about it if you want to become a non-smoker. Because what your mind does is that after years of smoking and maybe even decades of smoking, I mean some of my coaching clients who decide to join my four-week hypnosis coaching. Program for smoking cessation. They have been smoking for several decades, and during this time frame, your brain learned to associate smoking with pleasure or stress relief. And this is something that you might have experienced. I mean, so many of my clients have experienced it, that when they are stressed, when something happens.

happens in their life, something in their external world that works as an internal stressor, then they crave cigarettes even more. And that's why so many people fail at quitting smoking when they only focus on using the right techniques and the right methods, but they never focus on the subconscious reprogramming. Because your mind is so used to associating smoking with pleasure or stress relief, that no matter what kind of external exercises you do, and no matter what kind of methods you follow, at some point your mind will guide you back. into the habit of smoking because your mind is still, even though you might do all the right things in the external, is still associating smoking with stress relief and pleasure.

And that's why we have to reprogram your subconscious mind in a way where your subconscious mind understands that other habits, other things that you can do in your life that are way more empowering, way more

More fulfilling for you are way better and way more enjoyable, even for your subconscious mind, who has been conditioned for years and maybe even decades to associate these happiness hormones with smoking. That we condition your subconscious mind, or let's better say, recondition your subconscious mind, that other habits are way more fulfilling than smoking cigarettes, and thereby your subconscious mind can let go of the association of cigarettes and smoking them with pleasure or stress relief. And that's exactly what we're gonna do in week number two of my four week hypnosis coaching program for smoking cessation. description and then remember that you during this time of being a smoker have most likely I mean maybe I'm wrong but you've most likely convinced yourself that having just one more cigarette won't hurt you or that you can quit at any time and you can just have one I mean just one is not really smoking. Come on you know that you're just rationalizing this just one more Or just one cigarette principle. You know that it's not true. I mean, ask yourself the following question. The last time when you said to yourself, I'll just have one, was it really just one during the day? I never, and I can confidently say that, I never had a client who told me honestly that yes, when they were saying to themselves just one, that it was really just one, it was always more than one.

What role does the “just one more cigarette” myth play in preventing quitting?

Certified Hypnotist & Cognitive Behavioral Coach 3:31
That's something that I want you to keep in mind because if you're not honest to yourself then most likely you're also not honest to me and then we can't work on reprogramming your subconscious mind, which we absolutely have to do. And what we also have to do is to make sure that your subconscious mind gets better at resisting stress, at being immune to stress, at no longer feeling stressed, at Being able to deal with different stresses in your life in a way that you no longer crave cigarettes, and that's something that we can also work on together in the four-week hypnosis coaching program for smoking cessation. I always work with subconscious reprogramming through hypnosis, but I will also give you exercises for your conscious mind that can then also slowly lead to subconscious reprogramming that.

Allow you to deal better with stress, that allow you to be more relaxed, more calm, to observe your thoughts and to talk yourself out of smoking a cigarette and into your new future.
